Steam Ram Released! « Thread Started on Apr 26, 2012, 9:43pm »
"The British Isles finally has a counter to the hideous creation of that upstart Professor Schturm. It's cannons will shatter the Schturm Towers and it's machine guns will scatter any army that dares to face it. Gentlemen, I give you the Steam Ram!"
(excerpt from Lord Hamilton's victory speech to his investors)
Lord Hamilton's Steam Ram is the second in the Mayhem in Paper line of Cog Cruisers for use in your games of Steampunk and Fantasy global domination. There are both a multi-layered and a single-layered version of the model, that include four color schemes, three different weapons, optional turrets to add on and a choice between a wheeled or a tracked version.
The models dimensions are 3.5 inches wide, 4 inches long, and 2.5 inches high. 15mm scale version also included.
Joyfully designed and crafted by Eric Brown (squirmydad).
I know several of you like to build at smaller scales. I've done one of these at two pages per page when printing and one at four pages/page. went together well, the wheels actually seemed easier at the smaller scales, but the rolled bits were a trifle fiddly.

Just did a review/build post on the Steam Ram and I got a little carried away and did some wallpapers and a Kindle screensaver as well....opps
I did deviate from the instructions giving the tanks top mounted left and right pointing machine guns as well as a forward main gun. Yes it would be very cramped and noisy in there I tagged my version as F but that was for fun more than anything...probably should have gone "S"
Couple of desktop wallpapers these were fun to make, Squirmydad hope this is okay:

Groovy. Those look really good and yes I'm cool with creations. I put the desktop on my desktop and the wallpaper on my kindle, I feel like a fanboy now, thanks.
It's Lord Hamilton though, not his despicable cousin Lord Hamiliton who invested heavily in vowels.
It's funny, the Steam Ram currently on my workbench is the dark grey variant with a centered main gun, but using only the small wheels and only one gatling turret offset to one side-which creates a wonderful blind spot on the other side.
Have you ever considered applying for the position of Director of Marketing and Promotions at Mayhem in Paper?
Thanks for the review and the pics, really made my morning. Cheers!

Too funny. We all seem to get distrac... at times.
My list of Christmas papercrafts keeps expanding. Paperpino's Nativity Christmas Tree Balls from last year are on several people's wish lists from me and I still have a couple other projects that need completed. Still haven't had a chance to get the AC 130 Gunship done, which needs to be done by Jan 21.
AND I DON'T HAVE TIME TO BUILD THINGS I WANT TO BUILD!!! The Landship is on my short list, but keeps getting buried.
