Thanks for all the comments. Now I just have to get energetic enough to do the second floor, with bedrooms (singles and doubles), a laundry area, and a bath area. And then the third floor with common bedrooms (remember, before the days of elevators the better rooms were the ones on the lower floors, saving those higher-paying guests the long walk up the stairs to the upper floors where the poorer folk used common rooms). I'll post more pictures as it progresses. Dryw the Harper P.S. I always thought gaming was supposed to be... fun. ;D

Yes, but sometimes we forget and try to make it "real" or "dark" or something else when really what we all want, deep down, is "fun." Thanks for the reminder

CBL: Thanks for explaining that. Wasn't sure where you were going with that... makes PERFECT sense! Yeah, I love the whole feel of Dryw's figures. Almost a "Family Guy" take on Medieval society. I think the best way to describe his artwork is "Fun." Spot-on definition! His bikes are something I can't WAIT to work with! My Skeletrons want to be "ASSEMBLED to be wi-ild..."

Fantastic, Dryw! Your minis look like they were made for this terrain. Did you do up the tables and stuff? I don't remember any of these pieces being in Billiambabbles' existing sets. Cheers,

The really rickety tables are mine (Dryw has added some plates n stuff), but the quality furniture is all his! I'm really enjoying some of the crazy optical effects in the photos. ;D

I've now used this tavern twice in my campaign, and I must admit it is easy to simply plop it down on the table and be ready to go without having to set up a bunch of props. It is big enough for a major bar fight without a bunch of 3d props getting knocked over by people with clumsy fingers and it serves as a good meeting ground for players to converse with NPCs (simply having it set up with a crowd of people puts the players on edge, as if something could happen or go wrong at any moment during the course of their meeting). There was even a good sword fight on the stairs, just like in the movies. I see it being used many times in the future. ;D Dryw the Harper
