Here's the next one: the Mead Hall.

It's like a really big version of one of the smaller houses.
Maybe a chief's house....?

Should be up by tomorrow.

OK, here's the Mead Hall!

http://inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.ca/2012/07/laketown-mead-hall.html

I'm trying out Google docs as a download site, so let me know if anything funny happens...you know...won't download, locks your PC, tells the CIA where you're hiding, lets you edit my files....anything suspicious like that.

Hope you like!

I don't see a way to download as a pdf ...

Nevermind, File DropDown let's you download as pdf.

Excellent. I'm trying to remember what else I've downloaded from Google docs. I probably just saved the jpg pics ...

Looks like it is working correctly

WOW! That was VERY easy. It came up, clicked DOWNLOAD, and save as PDF.

THUMBS UP! (For both the model AND the easy access to it). Great job.

Here's another simple house model.

That makes Laketown house # 4.

Thank you. Are there any more 'specific' buildings for this project? Even without this one, a very nice combination of buildings could have been built to do Laketown justice. I'm not sure what else is 'needed'.

Thank you, once again.

I dunno.

I want to do a boat shed.

And retexture a few of the houses...give some roof and siding options.

Beyond that, I haven't really thought of anything else.
Maybe some defensive ramparts.

I'll have to think about it.....

Gm.

PS. I have a really slick idea for a series of 1930-40s automobiles...so that might be the next big project.....

Both those eras are starting to see more interest. Cami at E-Cardmodels has some nice cars from the 50's. PDMcCool is working on some from late 30's and early 40's, but not sure of a release date. I'd really like to see your take on 30's/40's autos. Will this just be cars, or are you also going to look at trucks from that period?

These are the rough concepts...I did them about a year ago but got onto other stuff.
I think these will be my next project.

WOW! Those would be great in some PULP game! Spies and whatnot of the 30's... They could even bleed over into early WWII (I saw that one and I could see Indiana Jones knocking the driver out of it and taking it over)!

FANTASTIC!

Very nice... downloading this now. TRIED to download it, but kept getting a run-time error... :'(

I will try again later.

No, I joke (although I know that you'd like it ) ;D

This model is a great and perfect reproduction of a norway stave church ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stave_church ). Thanks very much GM64. Bravo.

Once they were distributed in several European countries, but today it seems that there are about twenty in Norway and some others, very few, in other countries.

Many people claim that this is the apex of the wood work art began with the viking long ships.

I visited one, unfortunately I did not take photographs, but I managed to buy a book. In any case, when you're in front of them, inside, bring you back in time.

... a chinese restaurant ... :-X

I missed it if it was mentioned here, but there is a revised texture version of the warehouse on GM64's site.

I've just posting two more cutfiles and foldflat (well, mostly) versions - The Great House and House 4:

I just noticed I haven't done the Mead Hall yet - that's next.

Cool! Those are fold-flat? (I'm guessing the magnets are to hold the roof on cleanly?

No, the magnets are there to press the tabs while they are being glued.

I have some storage problems, but don't want to go for the fold-flat option yet.
