 UKRANOMICON Project to discuss
« Thread Started on Sept 13, 2009, 9:48am »

Hi everybody,

I am new to this Forum, and since you are all a welcoming bunch I am now toying around with an idea to start creating my own 30 mm Heroic Fantasy sets...

Here are just the very initial sketches of two Sklav Braves axemen.
What would you say about a set or two of these guys to follow???

Welcome to the forums Mark. You guys will remember him from the early MMiP days, he submitted the undead figures, and is generally known as the paper general. Mark has produced some incredible paper model sets for ancient gaming, and I really welcome him to the forums here.

I wait to see what you design.

As for the examples you posted, I think they look great! Of coarse I can tell they use elements from some of my figure part sets, but it's a good way to get used to the style and design.

My only concern would be for color choice, those purples are going to print VERY bright, and probably detract from the overall figure. My only other suggestion is when you really get into the designs, try for more action poses, like a running or charging pose.

Thanks for introducing me and kind words, Jim!

Actually, the use of some of your elements really hepled me to stay abreast with the general One Monk styling and try making some figs just in line with all you guys are so brilliantly showing here with those perfect sets of yours!

As for the Sklavs, it was important for me to post the "idea" to here, and get the feedback as for their actuality and interest. That's all.
As soon as the free set is available with me, I shall post it here for all those concerned. YES, I am going to change purple trousers, and they will become just ordinary linen clothes...or something else...

The choice of poses will be different for sure.
As I have said, I was just itching to post...and start getting involved, you understand, don't you?

Again thanks for cheering up,
Paper General

Very nice -- I could find a use for these, even if I have to just make one up! ;D

I thought that the purple and the pink shield was too bright too, but if you are going to change it these look good!

Welcome to the mad house er forum Sergey.

They would make a welcome addition to my fantasy armies as barbarians or mercenaries so please keep up the work.
