Here is the prototype build for a flying jet attack droid...
It clearly needs details, textures and a better color scheme. I also plan to work up a few different kinds of armament for the front (I don't like the current gun).

Definitely shows promise. It looks large enough that I would prefer a more 3d gun, even if the barrel is just a tightly rolled tube, and the mechanism is a box.

It does have potential. I really like the flight base.

That does look really neat! Also the plans for different weapons is perfect.
Edit: I like that flight base also, will it be a 1"x1" or 2"x2" base to fit on 1" grid tiles or will it have to be a custom size?

the flight base is currently 1.5 in square. Though I may mess with the scaling a bit as it gets closer to completion.
I'm definitely going with six weapon options.. mini-gun, plasma rifle, crystal death ray cannon, arc cutter, sensor/electronic warfare package, and blaster cannon.
The blaster cannon I am working on a 3D version (a narrow box with rolled tubes for barrels.

Thanks for the interest everyone.
Added details and a quick color scheme (hoping to have several color schemes in the final product) and did a second test build, I think it's coming along rather nicely.
This one has the prototype of the 3D gun (just for you vermin king), though the gun itself needs bit of work to look right (planning on making it a bit wider.

That is AWESOME!
Very nice. I agree with all of the above feedback.
Make sure to give it a cool name that shows it is a sharp weapon... Saber, Razor or Talon. Maybe give it some title to shows it flies... Raven, Falcon or Hawk.
Maybe mix these ideas up a bit... Saberhawk, RazorHawk...
Whatever you call it, it rocks!

These are the color schemes I am thinking of, along with the finished versions of the 2D weapons (in green). Anyone looking for other color schemes?

Very nice, any chance of a plain white one? then we can add our own custom colours to match existing armies etc.

My, oh, my, this is delicious. I didn't realize the body was one piece. I figured there was an outer body, the propulsion unit, top fin and armament mount. This is Outstanding.

I also like the curve of the base pieces. It gives the model a look of speed.

Thanks again for all the support!!
The PDF is ready. The final version has 10 color choices, plus a plain white (with shading and the bits colored) and a plain "wire-frame" version, that's 12 choices. Plus I believe I am going to include the layered .xcf file so you could literally make any color that you want. The base also has a few options, whether you want to print the sides in black or in ink saving white. Also there is another wire-frame option for the bases in case any of you want to mess around with transparencies for the bases.
![[image] [image]](http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f182/sammo420/DronePromo.jpg)
I'm working on the cut-files now, then i need to get some instructions made up and I am working on a new bonus feature for Moss Games products. If all goes well I expect to see this released on Monday night, but we'll see how the rest of the weekend plays out.
I'm thinking $1.50 $2.00 for the model. Does that sound okay for everyone?
I'm also still working one the name, my two choices are The Shuriken, aerial fast attack droid, or the R.A.P.T.O.R. (Rapid Aerial Precision Tactical Ordinance Robot).
I'm also taking suggestions for the name, so post those here, if I use your suggestion I'll give you a free copy of the model once it's released.
Finally, it looks like the droid army is continuing to grow. Here is a wip for the second addition, an attack droid that is a six legged crawler....

That's superb Personally, I think 1.50 is very low.
The walker looks like it's going to be a masterpiece... I was just searching for appropriate models for big tanks etc...for the skelebots in Gruntz

love the colours on the little Raptor and thanks for the white and shadowed option .
On the spider droid watch the flat legs, nobodies spider droid had a similar leg config and I've found overtime even though I triple layered the legs they have bent and sagged. I think a hollow V fold segments would have held up much better.
