 Stunty Army
« Thread Started on Jun 22, 2009, 9:32am »

Hello, after playing WH40K more, I wanted to expand on my IG army more as the new book for them came out. I also want to do something different. Space Dwarves, or Squats were wiped out of the cannon, rather abruptly and I always liked the idea of that army. So, taking inspiration from several other dwarf projects I have seen posted on the forums I am going to add a future/space version and work on a 'Stunty' army. I have the basic helm done so far, more to come when I get the time.

Very nice. Have a Roman/Viking feel to them.

I miss the Squats too. Always heard they were forcibly written out due to someone dropping the master mold. Sad as they were kinda neat! I've even seen people playing Squat armies using the IG rules.

Thankee. I loved the cat so went with it. Got some more done, an actual gun for them to hold as well as piecework for the faces.

As a side note, I plan on actually posting a colored set this time in pdf. I will also put up the raw svg files so people can play with the set as they see fit in inkscape and the like (And you will also get to see how messy my work really is).

Im working on it dangit ;)

And getting there, need to work on back shots next, also flush out some more gear but here is what I have so far. And I apologize for the Test Shot, In inkscape I work with most just individual lines, not modding out shapes so it looks more than a little confusing put together since I haven't added any color, not even white.

This has a very cool mix of sci-fi and fantasy. I like it. I can't wait to see the colored version. :)

I am really not a happy kitty right now. Someone has made off with my flash drive which has all my work on it which includes my Stunty army pattern...

So, unless I can get it back, the Stunty army is null and void. I am sorry, when I am feeling creative again I'll see about starting something else.

Thank you. What also gets to me is my files for the Sci Fi Walker and Gunnery range are gone as well.. Sigh. My problem is I flitter between several different computers as I work so trying to keep hard drive back ups of the files becomes messy for me. I think next time I start up Im going to try and just keep the file up on my web site. The problem with that is I don't always have access to the web. I'll figure something out.

That bites...

I keep my USB drive on my keychain... that way if I leave it somewhere, I won't get too far without my keys...

You could also look into a program that synchs your USB drive with your home computer... that way whenever you plug in your USB drive to your home computer you get an automatic up to date backup...

Than really sucks. I hope you find it sometime soon.

When I was in college I lost some files like that. They were 3DS animation files that I had worked on for HOURS! My wife thought I was going to have an aneurism when I first realized they were missing.
