Sounds like a case of 'whichever you prefer'. Looks really good.

I would think that the ability to have the 'copter land and the fig run around and do things and get back in would be the most versitile choice. Also it lets people use it at a gnome/goblin 'copter by just substituting their own fig.

I agree with Cowboyleland, allowing different figures makes it more versatile. Right now I'm imagining dioramas with this gyrocopter and Tommygun's zepellin... building is another matter

I agree 127%! (Sorry, I am not good with math... I guess that 5/3's of the population have problems with fractions, too)! Seriously, I can suggest that you make a square cut-out for any figures (beit Mesper's dwarves, or more likely for me, one of Dragnoz's Shock Troopers). VERY nice, and very usefull! These will blend in well with those, as well as most any genre... kind of like Squirmydad's Steam Tower... only flying!! I will mount mine on plastic cups and they will be able to land... SIDENOTE: Looking at the landing gear, it doesn't seem to be structurely stong enough to hold the craft upright. I would suggest a cross brace to keep the gear from buckling. The fold-over pieces keep the model simple to build, and still looks good (reminding me of one reason I love some of Finger and Toe models). If you need a test-builder, I do that, you know. Looks really good!

Looks great! I think a space for a model would be best.

Great design. I prefer putting dwarves models inside it!

You could leave the dwarf decorations as an add-on too. So the gyrocopter could be a goblin gyrcopter or whatever depending on the builder.

This looks GREAT! I have a bunch of Imperfect Dwarves that can't wait to take this for a spin (pun intended). I am downloading it now, and will *try* to post pictures once I get more ink for my printer... I used up a whole ink cartridge in 2 weeks. I have been busy!

I built this, but I can't seem to post pictures here... Head over to my post "Another Day At the Office."
There were a couple of things I would have liked to see... "fold-lines" to make sure everything lined up correctly, thicker borders to hide when they don't line up correctly, and the tabs should have been on the wrap-around pieces for simplicity sake (which I was able to do myself when I cut it out).
As for the POSITIVE things:
1) The design was VERY good. 2) The colors and the textures were excellent! 3) The design was simple, yet gace wonderful results. It was an easy build, and looks great when completed (two of the things I look for in a model). 4) The details were unbelieveable! There are little "hand-carved" etchings of a dwarven face on the pieces with the landing gear. This is the kind of detail I, myself, over-look when designing things, and this REALLY added to the character of the model!
Absolutely WONDERFUL model. It is versatile enough to go in any Fantasy, Steam-Punk or Modern army. Once again, GREAT work!

NOTED, and I'll upgrade it in the future. 1) The design was VERY good. 2) The colors and the textures were excellent! 3) The design was simple, yet gace wonderful results. I'll make another version of the textures for a goblin Gyrocopter, but right now I'm a little busy with another thing. Here's your photo.

Thanks! Sorry, it was such a crappy photo... I plan on upgrading my phone in December... I am glad you saw all of these "suggestions" as positive. I meant for it this way... NOT to sound like I was complaining. I also based these on "commercial-grade" products, and I think you are just about there with this. Well, thanks again for a fun, and great model. I look forward to more of your work. Great job, again. ;D
