Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the comments and feedback. I hope you enjoy them.
I am planning to extend the range by basing more figures on Jim's original sketches. I've already sketched all of the weapons and stuff. But please don't hold your breath - I always have a ton of ideas buzzing around my head with very little time to do *any* of them and plenty of other distractions, so my production rate is almost nil. (But I'm pleased at the rate I've been going recently at least!)
@magpiestar: Hiya mate! I just *knew* you'd be interested in those Romano-Brits! In fact I thought you'd be chasing me for them before now.
All I've got to say on that subject is...Oh! Have you checked out my updated Avatar? What do think of it?
;D

So does that mean you've redone your dwarves (if so where are they?!!) or that your doing some armoured warriors for the Romano Brits? The avatar looks a bit like a Pictish chieftain I've got from Gripping Beast!!

I was simply changing the subject! (As well as alluding to the fact that I get easily distracted with other projects...) The Romano Brits will probably get picked up some (unspecified) time in the future. I just re-did my Avatar for something to do. DaveA

I downloaded all of these, as they are really awesome minis. Is there any chance there will be more in the line later, like heavy weapons troopers or close combat soldiers?

Hi everyone - apologies for not responding to the recent posts sooner on this.
I did have plans for doing a full set of ZOA troops. Maybe even developing vehicles, EXO-suits, drones, etc. based on Jim's original sketches. Unfortunately my Xara 6 trial expired, and by the time I was up to speed with Xara LX (on linux) my enthusiasm waned and I had moved onto another project (Fearsome Adventures). I'm afraid that is typical of me - I have short productive bursts but rarely finish things off....
But anyway - I'm heartened at the thought that you like the original Sentry figures and want more. Here's what I'm going to do:
1. To start with I'll create a greyscale version of the sentry sheet and then do a tutorial on how to customise the colour scheme for yourselves. I'LL DO THIS - GUARANTEED - IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO. I AM DETERMINED TO DO THIS.
2. To create more figures I need to re-draw the weapons in XaraLX and use these for new troop types. ALL I AM GOING TO PROMISE HERE IS THAT I WILL HAVE A GO. JIM SKETCHED OUT A LOT OF TROOP TYPES. I RARELY GET INTO THE SAME PRODUCTIVITY ZONE AS JIM DID, SO I CAN'T GUARANTEE ANYTHING FOR CERTAIN.
WHAT I WILL GUARANTEE IS THAT I WILL PUT UP JIM'S SKETCHES FOR THE TROOP TYPES AND A POLL FOR YOU ALL TO VOTE ON WHICH TROOP TYPE YOU WANT FIRST.
Sorry for the bold/capitalised text, but I know (from sad experience) that I am fairly flakey at delivering to you guys and I just want to set out my stall from the get go. I really don't want to disappoint anyone again.
I'll take this project as far as I can before I lose interest, or until real life intervenes (which happens to me a LOT!).

I'm glad to hear it, these are a really awesome set and having more like them will only make the originals better, since there will be more ways to use them.

UPDATE: Work is progressing with the Sentry re-colours, but I'm very busy with work 'n' church at the moment as well. So progress has been very slow.
I'm approximately 30% through with them. I'm hoping to get a lot done over the next few days.

Quick Update: I'm 75% through! Just got the backs to do for the last four (rifle bearing) sentries!! Sorry it's taken so long - I honestly thought I could have got it all done in a week, but it's amazing how many interruptions you get at home... Not long now! DaveA

OK! MAJOR UPDATE! The GIMP File is available for download over at PaperMakeIT. Big thanks to Claudio for hosting it for me. You can get the file from hereI'm trying to get a Photoshop file available too - just having a couple of problems with it at the moment. A tutorial will be available to help you all to re-colour the figures once you've downloaded the file (Although it is pretty simple, to be honest). Cheers! DaveA ;D ;D ;D

I had to change to top layer to colour rather than grain merge not supported by Photoshop. It should open okay, but you'll probably need to re-work that first layer as it now looks hot pink.... it's a zip file but you'll need to rename the extension to .zip, once again I'm using the odt extension to trick wordpress.... sirrob01.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/zoa-sentry-troops-recolour-150-dpi.odt

Enpeze, I don't really know what to say. I start things, then I stop them. My life is so busy, and I have so many ideas, that I never get around to finishing stuff. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions", an' all that... The project isn't finished...I'm just not working on it at the moment. DaveA
