Had an idea for an alternative warband generator.
Basically, I'm making a stat card for each appropriate figure I find, across Jim's ranges. Like so
The card will feature a picture of the mini, along with stats and equipment. The equipment will be based on what's on the model, but will still adhere to the rules for a randomly generated character.
To generate warbands, simply select the appropriate number of cards from a shuffled deck. Maybe even deal out six and pick the best 5. Anyway, it'll be good for quick pick up games or demos.
Once you've picked your cards, just add your bonus Q and C and nominate a leader.
Other methods would be to separate the cards by race and allow players to custom pick a gang.
Here's a quick example, I'm keeping them very basic to save everyone's ink.

I've just got to check to make sure I'm OK using the artwork like this before I post anything else. If not I'll photograph the minis.
An example of this would be to take a set of 20 minis with matching cards to a demo or games club. That way you've got lots of potential combinations and a guarantee of WYSIWYG gaming.
I'm working on them for my group, should be a fairly swift job. I'll post the cards here and count on everyone to catch any slip ups
The final cards will be 4 to a page. I'll keep them in 'sets' for ease of printing.
The equipment part of the card refers to items 'readied' inventory refers to items stored in bags, holstered etc...
