EmergencyOveride, Thanks for posting these. I am sold too. I'll be ordering some 3mm Octagons in a couple of colors here soon. These really make the paper minis perfect. With the added weight, easy swapping and storing, these are sure to catch on.
I've been thinking of printing some templates out of the current paper bases and glue them on the fronts and different ones on the back to match some of the tile settings.

No problem man. As soon as I received the samples, I knew they were the way to go for me. It gives the figures a nice presence on the table. When I get my order in, I'll post some pictures of them in action! ;D

As soon as I get paid, I'm getting a pile of 25mm round shadow bases. Probably some 30mm as well. Also need some 50mm pills. ;D

Sorry to bump this thread, but I can't seem to find the paper minis base option on Litko and I like to order some. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Just fire me an email at work, jim@litkoaero.com
We are still selling them by custom order only for now. I do want to add them to my website, but right now I have too many different things I'm working on, but they are on the list of additions to my site.
Be sure to let me know what sizes and shapes you want, along with what colors, clear, bronze, grey or opaque black. JIM

I'm wondering if it is worthwhile making customised non-symmetrical shadow bases.
If you're using miniatures on a gridded surface, you don't really need to have uniform bases.
Alternatively, you could have a uniform base for measuring, but elongations for the shadows.
I might try taking some profiles of figures, skewing them, flood filling with dark grey, and using those as pseudo shadows.
