Welcome to the forums Mark. You guys will remember him from the early MMiP days, he submitted the undead figures, and is generally known as the paper general. Mark has produced some incredible paper model sets for ancient gaming, and I really welcome him to the forums here.
I wait to see what you design.
As for the examples you posted, I think they look great! Of coarse I can tell they use elements from some of my figure part sets, but it's a good way to get used to the style and design.
My only concern would be for color choice, those purples are going to print VERY bright, and probably detract from the overall figure. My only other suggestion is when you really get into the designs, try for more action poses, like a running or charging pose. JIM

Thanks for introducing me and kind words, Jim!
Actually, the use of some of your elements really hepled me to stay abreast with the general One Monk styling and try making some figs just in line with all you guys are so brilliantly showing here with those perfect sets of yours!
As for the Sklavs, it was important for me to post the "idea" to here, and get the feedback as for their actuality and interest. That's all. As soon as the free set is available with me, I shall post it here for all those concerned. YES, I am going to change purple trousers, and they will become just ordinary linen clothes...or something else...
The choice of poses will be different for sure. As I have said, I was just itching to post...and start getting involved, you understand, don't you?
Again thanks for cheering up, Paper General aka Mark Sergeyev
dungeonmistress: Thanks, cowboyleland, I need all the help I can get - as you see my troubles continue as I haven't had a connection since the 16th! But I keep trying! Hopefully this one will last a while.

cowboyleland: I was locked out of my email account for a week because of a hacker. I feel your pain. (fingers crossed)

dungeonmistress: Hey everyone! I'm back! I didn't really go anywhere, just my internet has been intermittent (read absent) for the past few days. With luck, I'll still have a connection tomorrow. (Fingers crossed)

cowboyleland: onemonkeybeau I trust you checked out Where no man has gone before thread? I think there are tons of 2.5d ships there.
Apr 13, 2014 16:09:58 GMT -9
onemonkeybeau: Hey guys! I'm looking for some space ships, possibly 2.5d to use with some star ship battle skirmish rules. Anyone have a bead on some?

cowboyleland: I just noticed the new One Monk banner. It looks great!

aaron: I LOVE wwg stuff I still kit bash the heck out of red sector, platform command and sigma six ... this is the stuff that started me thinking I could do this kind of thing myself .... we shall see! anyway best $36 I've spent in a while!

Zephalo: Ups... Another point about WWG's Hinterland is that with the old set you get both - the trees and the cliffs. Chossing TLX means buying two sets.

squirmydad: bravesirkevin - That looks nifty! Maybe send him links or have him pop in here so he could let us know what's needed to be a part of his show.

squirmydad: I'm not a fan of fiddly TLX, but the old style of stuff takes up many plastic tubs worth of space. You must choose wisely...

WackyAnne: I've had my eye on WWG's Hinterlands, but think I'd prefer the older set that paizo has, than the split terrainlinx sets that are on WWG's own site. Their new stuff is too fidgety, esp. w/o a cutter. Any advice?

squirmydad: I must be getting old and my memory fuzzy...definitely time to pull that set out and have some skeletal pirate skirmish games again.

hasturhasturhastur: I own Skull Cove squirmydad - it has tiles without grids.

okumarts: There you go… I was going to chime in, but got busy. Yep, it's a great little set.
Apr 10, 2014 5:20:56 GMT -9
squirmydad: Yeah, that's the ticket! There's tons of stuff in that set. The only thing I didn't like about it was the gridded tiles as I prefer not to use grids. Definitely put that set on your wish lists.

WackyAnne: Is this what you mean, old squirmydad? http://paizo.com/products/btpy864j?SeaWorks-Legend-of-Skull-Cove Paizo has 65 products for WWG, all pre-terrainlinx if I'm not mistaken. Some things are more expensive than on WWG's own site, but most is not overlap...

squirmydad: I wish they would at least put "Skull Cove" in the Vault section as that's one that I always recommended to people interested inn WWG products. Lots of fun stuff to build and play with in there.

wyvern: Be nice if some of the older "discontinued" WWG products might resurface on the main site for purchase (at reduced prices, say), given there'll be nothing new. While "old style", some of the materials would be good to access, if only for the textures.
