I ran my first ATZ game last night and I posted some pics here: www.worldworksgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7719Is anyone planning on doing any (more) zombie (paper) minis anytime soon? I can see this game requiring a lot of them in an urban setting, which is what I like. I've thought about going 15mm, just so I can have "larger" games, but haven't committed myself yet. For one, everything I've cut out so far would have to be redone. I've found some 15mm minis for pretty cheap, but I like the idea of staying with paper. Besides, I do not want to paint minis.

Hey tugunmojo-you are in luck! I got started on the werewolf set but got a little sidetracked with some other designs I had kicking around, so expect some more z's at the end of the month ...

That board looks fantastic. I've built a ton of buildings but I'm still undecided about how I want to make my game board. Yours is serioulsy tempting me to use Streets of Mayhem. I didn't like the look of it up close, but it looks excellent in your pics. My first ATZ game went simlar to yours. I had 3 players, each Rep 3 with melee weapons. After the first 5 minutes, one player was zombie chow and another was being carried away by only one still standing We just immediately started a new game and the second one went much better. I've found that larger groups increase your survivability. I have a regular group of 6 players now, each controlling one star and any grunts they happened to have recruited in game, and they stomp the 2-3 zombies you find while exploring new buildings. You might want to also consider a house rule that we use. It started out as me misreading the rules, but we like the way it worked out so we've kept it. If another player is within 4" of another player when they are dropped by a zombie we allow them a reaction test to rescue them from being feasted on. Player rolls Rep and passing 1d6 puts them in base to base with the downed charecter between them and the zombie. Passing 2d6 allows them to grab the downed charecter and keep an inch between them and the zombie. It has come into play in every session we've run and it seems to add a movie charecter level of survivablity for the charecters. Encourages the players to stick together and work as a team. Stragglers end up Zombie Chow.
