I had to upgrade my account!
600,000 hits so far this month! Well on my way to reach one million hits! that would be cool, I may make a really cool graphic if I reach that threshold.
over 40 gigs of files transferred! I guess lot's of people have been downloading the figures...
I'm glad to see free is as popular as ever. No big deal upgrading the account, now it costs about $7 a month rather than $6. If needed I can up it again to unlimited for $15 a month, still nothing in the grand scheme of things. I still have enough coming in from donations to cover about 20 years of domain and hosting for the site. But don't let this stop you from contributing.
Now, I know I still haven't produced squat, but I am really focused on other things at the moment. Also I admit I tend to get caught up in mindless web surfing when sitting in front of the computer, I think I'm the only one who does this too. ::sarcasm::
I really do want to get back to a regular drawing and designing schedule, at least something so I can make some small progress each night, I'm just trying to do too much at once right now ,and putting stuff away in an organized way so I don't completely space it off, as I tend to do... JIM

It's spring, find a nice comfy seat on the back porch in the sunshine, bring along a drawing tablet and a pencil, then set your laptop on top of them while you surf the net. ;D

Yea, I think I might actually have to cancel my net service if I can't break this bad habit of mine. I get plenty of web time at work and right after work. I can even manage my whole website from a thumb drive. My entire website is under 1.5 gigs. JIM

Why is bad the "mindless web surfing"? I like doing it. It is relaxing, sometimes is funny, and sometimes you may even learn something.

Yes, but I end up feeling more fulfilled when I can finish designs and building stuff more than spending more hours web surfing...
And I lack the will power to drag my sorry ass away from the computer as it is. ;D JIM

What you need is some friendly competition. Say somebody picks a figure (not necessarily one monk or paper) and you try to build a cooler one. Then someone can try and best you and you go back and forth until you have a set.

I believe someone has been issued a challenge . . .

It is a guilty pleasure, sitting in front of the computer just amazing yourself. Then hours later you didn't finish a simple task you had to do in the computer... Too guilty of the same thing here. (and sorry, for the Brazilian portion of the traffic, I just now gave a full article on where to find minis: www.roleplayer.com.br/site/2010/04/onde-encontrar-minis-de-papel/ with your new price in BIG LETTERS)

I do like the idea of the challenge, competition to design something is actually fun for me, and really gets me motivated. That was part of the reason for the Hoards, a friendly competition between designers. But, sadly I am just finding it hard to get back into the swing of things. I really do think I need to unplug from the web at home, and play with my toys for a change. I think this will be the only incentive I'll have to really change my habits right now.
Don't worry about letting everyone know about the site and the free files. Web hosting is really dirt cheap. Even if I have to go with an unlimited plan, it's only about $100 a year, for unlimited bandwidth and file storage. I don't know where all these other guys are getting their hosting, but Godaddy.com is really affordable. You just have to put up with a overly crowded site ,and a thousand sales upgrades and offers. If you can wade through that, then it's super cheap. JIM
