These are great on their own, but in conjunction with the larger ruined buidlings you can really quickly cover a board with convincing ruined cities. E.g. using the ruined wall model and two of these to represent the back corners you can cover a square foot of tabletop. With imaginiative placement, these models let you build networks of ruins. Also, the PDF contains more textures than are shown in the image... almost all of Dave's other wall finishes are represented, the ruined church looks stunning surrounded by ruined crosspieced layed out to represent collapsed walls surrounding a graveyard. I'm hoping for a ruined wizards tower at some point I know I'm raving a bit here, but they work really well. We've added some of the walkways from the medieval city walls set to the front of some of the buildings, this enables easy attachment of bridges etc... for a complex Mordheim type layout.
