I finally got around to trying a tape finish on a Onemonk mini. I originally did this for a whole pile of cards I remade for Dungeon for my brother...another story and I can't remember anyone posting this before so... I used longlife archival tape and basically stuck a strip across one of skeleton command guys then pushed it through the cutter. I used pretty light card at 150 gsm. The cutter cut through the whole lot in one pass set to 30. The tape gives the mini a sort of commercial cardboard stamped look and a plastic semi-impervious coating. I tried for a photo but it dosen't really show much: Not sure how useful this info is as it's pretty hard to do a whole sheet and not get an edge across a mini. Contact is a bit to thick but maybe someone knows of 30cm wide rolls of tape?

This is an interesting idea. I've toyed with the idea of laminating minis, but I don't have a cutter and I wonder how hard it would be to cut them by hand.

I spray mine with acrylic varnish, same effect but a lot quicker and also covers the edges.
