These miniatures look great. I'm not sure if I find the idea of bears vs. frogs vs. turtles fascinating or absurd, I may have to check out song of fur and buttons so I can decide Also I second pink frogs... It would be awesome for your opponent to have to admit that they were defeated by the army of pink frogs.

Slow update, but there was a fair bit of work in these ones and they are not quiet finished, but close enough for a bit of a preview: I may try recolouring the earth elemental I was going for an Aussie red rock look it's not really working as I hoped. I'll finish these up tomorrow night after work and then begin laying out and test cutting what I've done so far, which will give me a change of pace for a 3-4 days then I'll finish up the picnic bear and pirate bears, which are significantly easier lists and do the froggy cannon

I dig the Earth Elemental's crazy eyes. I was going for opals as eye's on the earth elemental, so crazy seems like a good result as opals are crazy

Now that you mention it they look exactly like opals, never made the connection when I was first viewing the crazy eyes.
These look awesome, you may just convince me to check out Song of Fur and Buttons yet.

I tend to like weird settings and something different, so teddy bears that can't die does it for me. My plan is once I've played through the core book is to have enough different mini's to have each as a faction to play blades and hero's as normal but in fur and buttons setting. I also have some weird plans to try and crush fur and buttons into tales and hero's when it's released . Can't wait until Fur & buttons V2 is released (should be soon) some new troop types and scenario's. I'll go back to laying out dinosaurs an native bears for the next few pages

I'm willing to try anything so I'll be giving it a shot, However it'll have to wait till after pink frogs . How are the colours on print out? I always worry my printer prints to dark and because I calibrate for it that they come out washed out on other printers. Hinterland is a nightmare for me as the ground is virtually black on print out Hope your daughter has fun with them . I hope to have the rest of the dino's and native bears finished up today. Not sure if anyone else spotted this but hopefully official fur and buttons cards are not far away:

They printed out fine Sirrob, just trimming them up at the moment. Only one slight niggle/frustration and that is there are only 5 honeypots and I need 6 to play the first scenario!! (3 per player) and only need 14 compies!
But like I said this is only a slight niggle.
Love the next batch they look ace. Is that a eucalyptus leaf the natives are using as their banner? We've got a eucalyptus in our garden, but sadly no Koalas!! LOL!!
Eagerly awaiting the next release.
Mags!!

Yeh I spent ages playing compie/honeypot tetris layout trying to get 6 and 14 to fit with no luck ...I just re tried and got 14/6 to fit in in 10 secs, so I'll do a new layout shortly, no idea why I didn't see that the first time Thanks for the feedback on the print outs glad they turned out okay . Meant to be a eucalyptus leaf, although I had to squash it a fair bit so it looks like a generic tree leaf now. I'll go do these pic's and get the next ones up, hopefully I've worked out a better camera setup/settings so the pic's will be clearer.

Fat Dragon have a dragon turtle 3D model in the forest adventure tile set, linky: fatdragongames.com/fdg0042.htmlIt wouldn't take much to convert a howdah from the Grave Robbers wagon kit either. his will be useful until something proper can be designed for these excellent figures. JIM

I've spent the past 2 days re-charging and have started work on the pirate faction today, preview pirate: I've been focused on drawing the bits I need like tri-corner hats, cutlasses eye patches, muskets, leather jerkins etc. I've expanded the list a little, here's what I have planned: 3 x Pirate cutlass 3 x Pirate musket 1 x captain 1 x first mate 2 x Pirate Brute 3 x cabin boy 3 x swashbucklers (female) 1x Ships Doctor 2 x musicians (Accordion player + another) I'm going to look at designing some sort of small land sailing ship later on or airship..not sure which but it wont be in this batch . I've got a gamming weekend on this weekend with some friends so these will be a little delayed sorry .

you know you just have to do one with dreadlocks a-la captain jack sparrow!!! We're loving these Sirrob!!! Printed out the natives and dino's to cheer my daughter up as she's currently not well. They definitely put a smile on her face!! Any plans to add to the dino range?, once you've finished the other factions of course! Scenario 2 allows you to use any dinos from the list in SWW, so that includes ankylosaurs, triceratops, velociraptors/deinonychus and of course a T-rex, oh and an apatasaurus. I think that others like stegasaurs, iguanadons, pterasaurs and alosaursus would all look ace in your cartoony stye!! as well as duck billed and crested ones whose names I forget at the moment!! Anyway, keep up the good work! We eagerly await your next release!

Yep, I want to do enough dino's to give 7-8 different varieties, not sure how long that'll take as they are a killer to draw, but velociraptors is defiantly one of the first cabs of the rank . Sorry to hear your daughter is sick, hope she gets better soon

Sorry for the slow going, the gaming weekend really put dints in my plans. The pirate's are nearly ready for layout, just 2 rears to do and a banner holder (just realized I'd missed him). Sorry no cook i need to get onto actually getting these laided out so I can get onto laying out the turtles and frogs . Preview: 3 variants of everything but the musicians 2 and the Capt and Firstmate. The swashbucklerette above is the most fancy as I've made her to also cover as a female captain if needed. I missed taking a pic of an eyepatch version of one of the above sorry I'll get these laid out as quickly as I can, but I'm trying to be careful to not burn myself out, so I'm doing other stuff in between edit: i've also got shift the nose/mouth on all of them as I bumped my template bear before producing the above.

I like to put some pic's up so people know I'm still working on them and they they haven't turned into vapourware . I'm hoping to churn out the frogs/turtles and pirates within 2-3 days of each other, so once the pirates are done the rest should follow fairly quickly. Then I'll do the picnic bears, colonial cavalry and frog cannon. ;D

Any chance of some colonial musicians (drummer bears and buglers) and colour party (Queens colour, regimental colour, CSM with red sash) for completeness? That way we can do full scale colonial style battles such as 'Izzie Sandles Bedtime' or 'Rorkes Duvet'
