Sorry for the lack of updates. I was a fool to think that I would get much work done during the holiday season. But I did have a few blocks of time here and there to make progress.
I did a redesign of the back of the stat cards to include a brief summary of the unit’s talents. This set my progress back a bit, but in the long run I think it will be much better for game play. The game will still require a detailed description of each talent and spell, but at least in the new format you can get the idea of how the talent works right from the unit card (ideally after some experience the long descriptions won’t really be needed much in game).
For those interested here is a link to the completed card set for the Woodwold Boskers.
Great job making the most of your cards by using the backs.
The only thing I might suggest is that although your flavor text is nice, on Gerron Brom (or whatever...) and Serrah, you have so much text that it is overlapping on the text block.
You may need to re-size that, or possibly remove a little fluff to make it fit on there a little better. If you were to re-size it, it would take away from the uniformity of the cards, because even a SLIGHT change in text size could distract from the cards themselves.
Maybe it is just me, but that REALLY stood out to me.
Aside from that, I think it is looking VERY nice!
Game Designer, BETA Tester, Model Designer, Figure Designer... HEY! It's what I do...
Thanks to everyone that offered me feedback, and thanks for your patience.
After many delays… Into the Fray is ready for play testing. I’ll start a new thread to recruit a few people (anyone who participated here will get the first crack at it but there is probably room for a few new people).
Vermin King: Not the style you are looking for, but try a search for 'paper theatre' or 'paper theater', and you will find a few pages of epinal figures. Not many, but I know there are a few

shep: Does anyone know where to find decent individual minis of late Roman Republic era civilians? From senator to slave, every mini would be great, as long as they are not legionaires or generals or other military (Praetorian Guard and Roman Vigiles excluded)

cowboyleland: Now I have seen it. It doesn't advance our hobby, but anyone with half a brain who wanted 2nd rate figures could easily figure this out for themselves so I guess he isn't doing any harm.
