Hi, Dave. Glad to get the river boat buzzing in your fruitful brain again. I wouldn't obsess about the walkways along the sides of the cabin. Just make the top flat and the PCs can clamber over the top. I you want, you could make a platform at the stern for a couple of minis. Another thing to consider would be a lateen or triangular sail. The yard at the top could be part of the sail piece and be a simple triangular tube that you would score, fold over and glue.
Attached is a Spanish galera with Lateen sails.

Polin' up the river in a three hand boat, Too deep to carry, too shallow to float. Too deep to carry, too shallow to float. If it doesn't lift your spirits, well it leaves you numb. Best cure for the river is a bottle of rum, Best cure for the river is a bottle of rum.
Those are both beautiful. You're thinking about another boat aren't you, Dave? Yes you are. Heaven knows there is a need for them. FDG's cog is a great start, but a Caravel with Lateen sails would be amazing. And with a little imagination, it could have Planescape airship build options as well.

Are you thinking ship or boat? Your original image and post were about a boat but some of the later images were of ships. Sometimes smaller is better where adventuring groups are concerned. It seems to me that your basic hull shape and layout would not be hard to re-skin and use as a Mediterranean trader, Arabian dhow, or small oriental junk. It wouldn't make a bad fishing boat, either.
Face piles of trials with smiles, it riles them to believe that you perceive the webs they weave.
antohammer: someone said egyptian temple O.O ... very interested !!!!

okumarts: TEMPLE OF DOOM!
Dec 11, 2018 7:10:21 GMT -9
shep: Give us the temple!
Dec 6, 2018 1:09:34 GMT -9
Vermin King: I'll want to look again tomorrow, but I think I have the temple ready to print
Dec 5, 2018 19:39:01 GMT -9
squirmydad: Are you musing or is this open to a vote? I vote Egyptian temple.
Dec 5, 2018 19:14:53 GMT -9
Vermin King: Either that or an Egyptian Temple

Vermin King: Tried to do some design work last night and it didn't go anywhere. So I went through the hard drive. I think my next project will be cleaning up and scaling a Honda Quad model that they released ages ago

Vermin King: Well, not up-chucking, but remaining upright and walking straight lines wouldn't really happen for about 8 hours

squirmydad: I always got seasick the very first day of every season, then never again no matter how bad the ocean got. I didn't get sick returning to dry land after two months of chasing fish, but I did walk like a drunk for two days until my land legs came back.

Vermin King: That's about like me on the ocean in small boats. I never get seasick until I am back on dry land

shep: And don't get too used to the aftershocks or you won't be able to sleep, if the ground does not rattle...
Dec 3, 2018 11:23:35 GMT -9
squirmydad: Two cats, one dog, and they've all been very high-strung for the last three days. I don't know if they can sense the quakes before me, but I think they are just as tired of the constant aftershocks as I am.
Dec 3, 2018 6:26:23 GMT -9
Vermin King: could just be the small number of videos I've seen with dogs and cats in them
Dec 2, 2018 16:56:34 GMT -9
Vermin King: Do you have pets? I've always heard how animals seem to freak out just prior to earthquakes, but every video I've seen with animals, the animals look at their owners like 'what the heck is your problem?'. Not freaking out at all.
Dec 2, 2018 16:56:04 GMT -9
squirmydad: I've lost track of the hundreds of aftershocks that have rippled through.
Dec 2, 2018 15:04:43 GMT -9
squirmydad: There's a cocktail recipe that a FB friend posted; Pour all ingredients into glass, wait, please enjoy your drink after the aftershock has thoroughly mixed the ingredients.

shep: Hey, squirmydad, always remember that booze is THE #1 survival gear...

uptrainfan89: I see WWG website is down yet again...
Dec 1, 2018 10:12:26 GMT -9
squirmydad: I'm supposed to boil water before drinking, heat, roof and walls are all good. One of the surviving liquour stores is having a 7% off sale in honor of the quake, so I have drinking options.
