I was trying to find some superhero minis but was quickly overwhelmed by the search. Are there any around?

Disney bought Marvel sometime in the last few years.
Marvel is strong in the male demographic ranges that Disney is historically weak in.
The irony that Universal Studios has a major theme park based, on a now, Disney property made it worth it in my book.

Does any one know off hand if there has been a Super Hero/Super Villian Horde before?
If not maybe it would be time to consider doing one...

Personally, I find the miniature market so saturated with cheap superhero minis since the rise, fall and rise of heroclix that it doesn't seem worth the effort. You can get anything you need for as low as 25 cents a mini on ebay. At those prices (prepainted as well) it just doesn't seem worth it to make card minis. I got a TON of SWAT guys for 25 cents each and I've repainted and re-modded dozens of supers for my Champions campaign over the years. I even posted some of my player's characters I made for them some years back. www.angelfire.com/comics/okum/heroclixmenu.htmlThese days I just pop em off the bases, rebase them and give them a repaint if needed. It's quick and easy and cheap.

DON"T YOU BELIEVE HIM !!! Imperfect Superheroes would be awesome. I litterally have thousands of Heroclix, but like Jim, I'm not a huge fan of mixing paper and plastic/metal models. Paper models allow greater freedom in creating custom and obscure heroes. Don't get me wrong, pretty much anyone with a Heroclix colelction had custom Heroclix, but it's a different hobby for a different skill set. It would aslo be great to have gereric superheroes to use that don't look like repaints of established heroes. ICONS, BASH, Villains & Vigilantes, DC Superheroes, and Supersystem are all currently in print, and Marvel Classic is freely available online. Incindently, Super Heroes and Villains are already scheduled for the November Horde. If we get 8 or more before then I don't think it would hurt to have an early release. Currently there are 4, Captain Portugal, Captain Azorian, Azorian, Major Brasil, and I'm bettign we'll see Captain Canuck and Amazing Man in the near future.

haha.. fair enough.. I'm sure people can use superhero minis. On that note though.. I just picked up the BRAND NEW Brightest Day DC Heroclix set today for 10 bucks (normally 25)! They comic book store is trying to clear out their heroclix stuff. That's 7 minis for 10 bucks! D.

The Brightest Day figure selection was full of odd choices. The Darkest night set had a better selection, but the scale was terrible. Still, a great buy for $10. It would have been even better if you could upload them to a site like this and people could print as many copies as they want
