I'm working on a Wild Orc army for massed battle games. Looking to have most of the options required for a certain game within a couple of weeks. Aiming for models that are clean and crisp at 15mm, they'll scale up but be embarassed if put next to Jim or Labrat's minis at 30mm

they'll scale up to 30mm fine as they are vector (just not sure how good they'll look as they are meant to stand out at a smaller scale). I'm aiming to get a lot of variants and options done in a short time, then maybe extend the technique to some of the other armies that don't have many models yet. Very much aiming at massed battles players.

Since you are doing these with vectors, have you considered thickening them up a bit and giving them dimension like Oliver Bizer does his Junior General figures? He basically laminates the figures rather than trying for true 3d, but I think your wild orcs would be an excellent choice for an experiment with this.

They are vector, so I can make them any size, same for riderless boars as it's one click to tak the rider off I'll add a 'razorback' to finish him off. My main aim is to get all of the basic shapes sorted so I can make lots of variants quickly. I've started lots of projects and always found a better way to do it then moved on.... I've spent a while getting this one right before I started! I want to be able to replicate specific troop types for a range of wargames quickly. If someone needs a wild orc with a 2 handed weapon I can run them off in a couple of minutes, same for a wild orc weilding an M16, giant mushroom or bunch of flowers. If someone needs a wild orc riding a bear, wolf or crocodile, easily done as the riders are ready. Underworld goblins next They aren't nearly as attractive as Labrat, Okumarts, Darkmook or Jim's figures (They are pieces of artwork made into figures), but I'm aiming at the middle ground, players who need a lot of rank and file models quickly (they are quick to cut too). Think of these like an early GW box set, lots of weapon options, easy to assemble but not as pretty as the metal models
woosh: also, where can i find cool ships and mechs? im looking particularly for any spider tanks or spider mechs. ive seen the site with all the mechwarrior papercrafts and ive made a couple of those but none of them are especially spider-like

berneart76: Vermin King I usually use a mix of drybrush/watercolor/photocopy and occasionally posterizing at different levels of opacity.

berneart76: Vermin King, that's similar to the enhancing that I do on my texturing. I've found that sometimes I need to scale up or scale down the image (usually by 50 or 25 percent down or 200 or 300 percent up) to make get the enhancements to look "right"

Vermin King: On the zebras, I did multiple enhancements and cartoon filters and used them at 100%, and they still didn't look that different than the photos

Vermin King: When I make a figure or terrain piece based on a photo, I clean it up and align things to look 'right', then I create another layer and do enhancing and cartoonizing on it. I then adjust opacity over the photo image until it looks good. On the zebras,
