Great models and poses! I know it really doesn't fit with the thri-kreen but how cool would it be to have one with four hand crossbows. Or maybe four chakrams (or whatever is the thrown weapon they use)

I didn´t continue with this project because i didn´t see any interest in it. i´ll try to do some of them with enerfy guns and hand crossbows.

I guess I should have posted, but things have been a bit overwhelming lately and I barely have a chance to get on here every other day.
Believe me, there's interest

Been watching, but not commenting, bad habit that. Bugs with bows goes well with bugs with hand weapons. For some reason they remind me of ancient Egyptian warriors, maybe it's the bow and the loincloth. Perhaps the Thri-Kreen were one of the plagues of ancient Egypt? I hope you regain your own interest in this project at some point in the future. All the best, -Eric

Now that you say this, yes they look like ancient egiptian, the the bow and the loincloth and maybe the profile poses. I´m working in other archers

Fantastic work! I can't wait to build these and to have them lurking over the battlefield! I think that they will be slaves of my Space Elves, the K'Vyk.

It was a little selfish of me to download all your minis and never give feedback.
Yes, these Thri-Kreen (and the others you made) are really good. Soon, if not already, we can print a force strong enough to match Jims undead and elves, labrat humans and Sirrob Foxes.
That would be a heck of battlefield to see...
(shame that I am printer-less for the moment)
And energy weapons and a green or blue paint coat would make them perfect for Sci-fi. I'm thinking Ashen Stars Here!

I am, too! I may change my forces around to allow for a whole army of these. I love the looks of them, and they seem to be fast, like most insects, and they have hard exoskeletons that would give them good armor, but not be cumbersome, so they would not be slowed down by it. With multiple arms, they would get multiple attacks, and if you made some with wings, that would round out the set! Once again, awesome work with unlimited possibilities. I hope you get some more time to finish the ones you have planned.

So cool! Looks like I need to make some crossbow rules for ERA OF WAR! For these guys! Nah, I think I'll just forego the crossbows and use then as ballistic weapons. That would make more sence for my game's timeline... however, the long bows are very cool as they are. PROBLEM SOLVED! Ballistic weapons are basically a projectile weapon... obviously, the Thri-Kreen are ant-like and possess super strength like ants themselves! So, a TK can shoot an arrow the same way an human can shoot a gun... with the same range, accuracy and armor penetration! Hence, a TK bow would follow the same rules as a rifle, a shortbow the same as a pistol, and a Ballista the same as a Sniper Rifle! Wow! I am making up rules on Reivaj's thread! What can I say, I am inspired by your work!

Hey, I was looking at this again, and may I suggest making your crossbows fold-over pieces so they are twice as strong, and will have a "back" to them...

I just posted a link to the Ashen Stars insectoid holding four energy weapons and a minute later Reijav posted the Thri-Kreen with crossbows, in almost the same pose! Even the attire is very similar!
The impression I hat was that he drew that figure in less than a minute! Now, THAT was fast!

<--- Anxiously awaiting set two.
BTW, there has been mention of scaling these down. I personally prefer them taller than humans. Being thinner and lighter than humans, I think that to have mass roughly the same as people, they would have to be taller than people.

Just downloaded them. Give me a few days to post them... it will take a little time to build them. I will try to have the whole army built my mid-week. I will have about 30 figures in all. I never planned on a whole army of these, but with this brilliant work, how can i not? prepare for the infestation!

Once again, Reivaj! I am astonished every time how much "energetic" the poses of your minis are. They are made up by the same parts. A way Jim and others have given up for several reasons. But nevertheless they feel quite alife. I think, it's because of your HIGH QUALITY SHAPES and their intricate positioning. I can almost feel, how the Kreen is fetching the arrow ... . I want to dig this technique for a long time now, but I have to start from scratch - working on a vector "library". This has a lot of future, Reivaj!
