Ok, here are a couple 2.5" models that I think is a good base to build inspiration off of. This is Slick's NCC Power Armor, and another model that will not be credited to ANYONE at the request of the powers that be... Ok... I hope the people that need to see this did... No further information of this time.

There are some really inspirational pieces out there. I wish Mel Ebbles still had his old site, but you can also check out Glenn's fingerandtoe.com and Squirmydad's MMiP Archive at mmiparchive.papermakeit.com/Main.html

Based on the picture of the SCARECROW that JaggedJaw drew up, I came up with some ideas.
1) the picture showed a pail for the head. As you can see in my sketch, the head will fold up and have a face on it.
I figure once I get this general shape down, I can do it as a metal pail, or a wooden bucket. Now, if I were as talented as Dave Graffam or Dave Okum, I could do this with layers... but I cant , so just will do several placements of these, and recolor them.
2) I am SURE that Scarecrows don't look the same. Therefore, it is my plan to offer these in a similar fashion to WaffleM's Mech Factory. I plan on having a lot of pieces that the builder can use to create a wide variety of Scarecrows.
3) back to the bucket, there is also a barrel pictured as part of this thing. A barrel will be basically 2 buckets together.
4) the limbs will be basic fold-overs that will be double-sided. There will be many "T-bar" pieces throughout this model. This will be a fold-over with pieces on the end that will open up on the end, making a flat base to glue things on (much the same way Glenn Williams does on his Finger and Toe add-ons with his models). Speaking of fingers, I plan on having an assortment of blades and spikes that can also mount on this thing.
5) the feet will be a fold-over pieces like I did with my Juggernaught Power Armor. There will be hoses that will be mounted on the feet as well, that will be able to be bent and shaped like the ammo feeds on my Skeletrons.
6) There is also a metal barrel/can. This will be big enough to fit on the torso or on an arm or leg. I plan on making the arm and leg segments pretty standard in size, so if you have ever build one of Ebbles barrels, you should be pretty familiar with what I have planned.
Ok. Now that I have expressed my plan, there is no guarantee he will like these concepts. Ya never know...
So, I have planned my work, now I need to work my plan.
Ok... heading to bed.

Well, eventhough it was a sketch, it showed the scale I needed to get an idea of. that is quite helpful! I feel confident enough to continue with this and show you what I can come up with.
I wasn't sure if the Scarecrows were human-sized or very large. This picture makes them look GINORMUS, which is PERFECT for what I had planned.
Ok... Hopefully i should have something to offer you this week.

Well, after some brief discussions with jaggedjaw, and a couple pictures, here are some sketches I did this morning . I basically wanted to make sure I have the scale right before I proceed. Any thoughts?

These are JaggedJaw's concepts, I just wanted to check the scale before I begin tackling the large Scarecrow.

the warrior class scarecrow is around human size, so he should be a little taller. Also, the prods look like a iron 2-pronged fork with some copper wire on it. All in all, good job.

Well, it's official! JaggedJaw asked me to be "Head of Model Designs." How freakin' AWESOME is that?! I have a lot of work to do on this, but my designs and sketches were all accepted (just need some "minor" revisions). ALL GOOD STUFF! JAGGEDJAW: The weapon I put on the little tubber isn't right? Let me know how I have to revise it (aside from making it a little taller).

They really only fight with claws, hooks, etc. Still, they could have that as a weapon upgrade. maybe that could be what the caster has. Still good job.

Here is another sketch showing the correct scale (I hope). I tried to show them with Prods. The Large titan has a scythe. Just thought it made sense. Hopefully I am getting closer to JaggedJaw's vision.

the protector class scarecrow is a little too tall now. Besides that, perfect. have you thought of what a barrel roller would look like?

The barrelroller is a weapon, right... or is it a scarecrow? I have read all the blog entries on Scarecrows and don't remember seeing anything on it.
I have an image of the larger Scarecrow with 3 barrels in a lobster-trap style mechanism that he can use to bowl down his opponents.
Some more evil is that the barrels are filled with gunpowder and they explode on impact. Think of it as a 30 gallon grenade.
The Protector is the BIG one, right? I guess I read that they are like 10' tall.... in retrospect, I forgot that until just now.
I will correct and adjust it.

the barrel rollers haven't been mentioned in the blog yet but they were in the rulebook. they are the closest thing that they have to cavalry if that helps.

Well, if you can't tell me what they are, tell me what they AREN'T! Here is my concept based on what you have mentioned. The lance-mounted prod is treated as usual, but allows the user to reach into close combat without dismounting. The bucket head matches the scheme of Scarecrows, and the broom tail may be a bit over the top... but, hey, it's me. Let me know what I need to fix.

I felt pretty confident about this until my wife asked me what he was holding and pointed to the "horse's" head. I said it was a mop and a bucket. A saw blade, a spinning wheel, a barrel and a broom... maybe I read too many HIGHLIGHTS as a child! In retrospect, I am sure that this guy can really clean up on the battlefield... or maybe with a broom, mop and bucket, he can clean up AFTER the battle...

I rely like how the guy looks(with the exception of the legs). also I think barrel rollers being used to clean up after a battle is a perfect explanation for them(they get the stuff the slave's can't be trusted with).

If I eliminate the legs of the Scarecrow, and remove the head of the "horse"... I could move the torso forward and give it a centaur feel.

You can switch off between doing that and just having it were it was with no legs. either way is fine.
