As I posted on the other thread, I just got the bundle. I asked about the layout but forgot to ask something else (maybe it fits better on this thread, anyway): Do you have any suggestions for solo play?
Despite the large number of solo games I played during playtesting I don't have a solid system for solo play :-[
I did find that playing with 1500 points (so there would only be one hero per army) made the games a bit more manageable.
Other than that, once I made the faction choices, I flipped a coin a few times, once for a basic attack based or defense based strategy, once to see if the forces would generally stick together or split up and then once for each group to see if they would make for the center of the battlefield or take an edge.
A quick version of solo play rules are definitely on the to-do list with the scenarios, just haven't made the time for it yet.
Vermin King: Not the style you are looking for, but try a search for 'paper theatre' or 'paper theater', and you will find a few pages of epinal figures. Not many, but I know there are a few

shep: Does anyone know where to find decent individual minis of late Roman Republic era civilians? From senator to slave, every mini would be great, as long as they are not legionaires or generals or other military (Praetorian Guard and Roman Vigiles excluded)
