And, finally, I can't myself fully believe that, but, we are about to release. In the first half of September wait the starter set on Wargame Vault. There's gonna be two squads of infantry 12 men and 2 heavy weapons teams each; two vehicles (kind of battle jeeps); lore for them; the world map with some lore for it. If it goes well, we plan to release 1-2 new sets (a squad of infantry, or a vehicle with some support materials) monthly.

This project looks really interesting. I think the idea to do a rule-agnostic release is really smart. There are enough rulesets available and in this ways the gamer can choose the appropriate level to suit his of her tastes (skirmish, platoon, etc.) Not putting any efforts in rule development and translation frees the authors up to concentrate on developing the models and the setting. I like the fact that a (seemingly interesting) setting is included in the release, this will allow the release to stand out from other releases. I am very eager to see the first release.
Regards,
Pieter Vreeburg

I think the idea to do a rule-agnostic release is really smart. There are enough rulesets available and in this ways the gamer can choose the appropriate level to suit his of her tastes (skirmish, platoon, etc.) Not putting any efforts in rule development and translation frees the authors up to concentrate on developing the models and the setting. We, actually, have developed the rules to play these figures. It's a variation of GZG's Stargrant ruleset changed and adapted for the setting and gameplay. But first images and setting appeared, then it developed into something we wanted to play at, and only after that I translated Stargrant into Russian. Only at a very final stage rules influenced lore and models. You will, probably, notice that in the sets dedicated to psionic fighters, and in the airplanes models. But both of us kept in mind that the figurines and models should be suitible for any system, and the background should also be a world description, not a rulebook novellization. The lore can be described as a "post-apocalyptic western". Most of all it was inspired by Russian SciFi novel "The Inhabitant Island" by Strugatsky bros., but the setting is also close to that from The Postman by D.Brin, or No Truce with Kings by Paul Anderson

Dear friends! It's happened! The first release of "Steel Warriors" is avaliable on Wargame Wault! ... Great product! 29 pages with setting, lore ... 35 unique paper minis, 2 vehicles ... a very good pdf document ... maybe a little too cheap :-) Overall definitely a great quality product. Congratulations to both.:-)

I love it! I'll be modding the minis to have black outlines (my preference), but I cannot gush enough on what a wonderful value for the money this is. I'll definitely leave a positive review.
