More stuff for the 15mm war game. Very basic at the moment.

Other than the wheel well, this looks very good. With the bezel, it looks like the wheel is sunk into the wheel well area. And the wheel well, which should be recessed looks like it extends out to the same level as the body. Texturing would take care of this. I still might build it using two copies. Layer it so that I can cut off the outer area at the wheel well line, and cut out the wheels from the portion cut off. Then take the sides from the second copy and glue those underneath, for depth and glue the extra wheels onto that layer to have the wheels extend to the level of the upper body.
The extra upper panels would be glued onto the roof. I'll probably recess the windows, also.
Excellent APC. You are definitely onto something.

Just experimenting at the moment... definately needs more depth to the wheel wells. The finished version is in desert camo

Wish I had a better camera. Printed off and will build tonight. Will be doing the laminated method I talked about. Question: The front box is the driver position, correct? The full width grill I take it is for the engine compartment, right?
I'm rather excited about this little guy. I think it will work equally well in a modern or sci fi setting.

For the final pieces I'm using the laminating technique.... the doors, window frames and grills etc are all separate elements. I've made the cut files too, so it's really easy to get all of the little bits done. I'll do a 'flat' version as well for those who don't want to cut out loads of little bits.

Sometimes the simpler the model, the more fun it is. When you are working with master models (like and Ebbles or even some of the newer Finger and Toe models), the things are beautiful, but you may only build one. (Case in point, the UD-41 Dropship or Attack Invader).
On the other hand, a simple "fold and go" model like this one (and in the case of the Onager or Hexentodt), you can build ALL day long, and fill the battlefield with them!
I realize this is a 15mm model, but I would build it as a 30mm model, and use it as is.
Once again, your work is AMAZING!

Printing two copies of it as laid out, I think it looks a bit big for 30mm. I should have printed out both copies on one sheet, I think

Spot on Kiladecus I'm going for an 'epic scale' wargame, so loads of models needed, I'm also making them cutter compatible, which is easier with something a bit simpler. I love the complex stuff, but at 15mm most of the detail is lost. It's easy enough to add extra details for the laminating technique for those that want to make a more complex model or build at 30mm, should have a more fleshed out version of this by the weekend.

Sounds good.
Can you rescale it to 30mm for me and email me a copy of the file, please. I want to play with it using various pieces and accesories.
Thanks, Jose'!

Can do I'm texturing the finished one now and adding the extra parts. Really starting to see how great the Silhouette cutter is now. It takes less time to make a GSD file than it takes to cut out one model by hand.
