I ran a site since 2004 that didnt really have much on it but a few free downloads of some of the paper models I did over the years...
after a number of major headaches from domain name disputes to multiple hacking and DNS issues... I have decided to call it a day and let the sun set on miniature-games.com...
However.. new domain names have been purchased and im working on an updated site that will still have all the past models as free downloads, the site will also focus on a new range of figures, models and scenery I am working on... of which the first has gone on sale on wargame vault and RPGnow...
Thanks so much for everyone who has supported me with miniature-games and its trying times... the new site will be ready soon...

Just a quick hi and something you may want to think about: You can make a base domain name (like myReallyBigWebsite.com) and then use subdomain names (also called CNames) like miniatures.myReallyBigWebsite.com. A good example is my www.sim1.biz website. I work on projects by making a subdomain (like tcf.sim1.biz) and then I can work on it and yet not need extra domain names. (Or to put that another way - the domain name [ie: http://www.sim1.biz] just gets extended to also have the subdomain - but you don't have to pay for the new domain name.) Just something to think about. Also - you no longer need a static ip address from someplace like AT&T. Instead, you can use something like mystaticipaddress.com for the static ip address (at $20.00 a month or $100.00 for a year's usage) and what they do is to give you a copy of OpenVPN with the static ip address embedded in it. Then, you can put the static IP address on a laptop and take it with you no matter where you go. :-)
