Ha no worries the references alone will help with oing the backs of my figs.. Why cant you make the figs? Simply because I don't have any skills. ;D ;D ;D ( and I don't like very much some programs, like Silvervine Games' Paper Mini Maker )

Wow ok... look at the potential here... Nice finding! Judging just on quick preview it might help me with ideas for Sci-Fi series (don't really like drawing vehicles and other hi-tech "mechanical" stuff) Thanks!

I believe the following to be true .3DS is 3D studio or Autodesk .MAX is also 3D studio .obj is a generic open source 3D model format

You got it right there avi.
Blender is a free 3d program that can open obj files and I think there is a free viewer for the max file format, but it's been years since I looked at either.
Do be careful with how you use these images/files, they are a good reference source but I'd steer clear of using them directly as bioware owns the copyright on the mass effect game.

Don't forget that copyright covers derivative works.
And then there is also trademark which might mean your model shouldn't even be mistakable for a Mass Effect object.
Anyone remember Robotek suing BattleTech?

Ditto on the IP issue. Amabilis offers a free version of their 3D Crafter (I use the Pro version and swear buy it--and occasionally at it). It will import all the common 3d model file types. I find it easier to use and much easier to learn than Blender (BUT Blender, once learned, can do things I use other software to do--and the free version is more capable than 3D Crafter). Get 3D Crafter free version here: www.amabilis.com/products.htm
