Build pics here cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=membercommissions&thread=3994&post=42961
The archive is too large for upload, so here's the link to my dropbox.
I don't guarantee that dropbox will be around forever, so copy it if you want it and if the link doesn't work, ask around for a copy. :-)
---- README ----
NOTE: This archive contains both the artwork and two versions of cutfiles - one with the iron bars cut out, and the other with only the fence spikes cut. See the post on cardboard-warriors for build pics.
These cutfiles are for the Iron Gate that Grendelsmother64 created for me on this thread: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=membercommissions&thread=3994&post=42931
These cutfiles were created with Silhouette Studio version 2.5.0 by OldSchoolDM @ the Cardboard Warriors forums: cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/
Instructions:
The Iron Gate is distributed as .studio files Just choose the version you want, print the file and cut! Choose the printing option from within Studio - either from the File menu or as the first option after clicking on the Cut icon at the top of Studio - it will include the registration marks from the cutfiles. Then you know the drill, mount to carrier sheet and cut then edge and assemble!
Have fun, and if you got these files from the Forums, please post a photo of your build! The thread I created is a great place to leave feedback and comments.
NOTES ON CUTTING/CONSTRUCTING THE BAR-CUTOUT VERSION: These are very, very small cuts. I recommend double cutting at the slowest speed and with a very sharp (reasonably new) blade - otherwise there will be lots of nicks in the places where the blade reverses on itself.
For my build, since I have a pretty old blade, I actually glued two 90# sheets, blade at 10 setting, together and double-cut with enhanced tracking all checked. I had to do a LOT of cleanup and spent a lot of time edging as well.
But, in the end, my iron gate model is very strong!
