Making Cutpurse Alley from the Sellswords of Punjar. For reasons I'll outline later when I do a dump of the build, I ended up going with WWG's TerraClips tiles system. But the adventure has lots of folks running around on the rooftops, so I needed an adapter. I really dislike cutting holes in my rooftops to support stands. Afet had an excellent idea a ways back for a portable adapter. I've modified that idea to produce a kit for making any rooftop playable without modifying the roof... First - the link to the cutfiles, PDF oulines (though it isn't rocket science...) and the photos, since they are pretty much the assembly instructions. dl.dropbox.com/u/3838990/Roof%20Walking%20Adapter%20by%20OldSchoolDM.zipAfter I kitbashed in scans of the WWG roof textures, here's what my adapter looks like... First the cradle... Then dirt-simple wedges: In action... Bigger wedges for steeper roof lines: Final action shot: Slide them along the roof and move the wedges to go up-and-down. Simple and non-invasive. Enjoy!

In fact brilliant in its simplicity. This is exactly the kind of gadget I like.

I like what you've done with the idea. My idea for the platform and the hooking system was more elaborate, unnecessarily so. Your cradle system, and the simple triangle platform does the job well and builds more quickly than mine would have. Kudos. So others can see the beautiful simplicity of what oldschooldm has done, here's what the original concept looked like: Attachments:
