Hey, I had about a half an hour last night, and I drew some sketches for a set I have been toying around with a little. It won't be an ERA OF WAR release, but I am not saying the pieces won't work themselves in... Three of the WARMANCERS did, afterall! Ok... These are just concept sketches. (Try to be kind - the proportions are off... just quick sketeches, after all). The first is the "HUMANS." A football player "sporting" to Mini-Guns and a "Big Game Hunter." Attachments:

I like these sketches ( and surely I'll take them when they go out ). But they seem to me, then I'm wrong easily, shown in a sci-fi/fantasy setting and they are not, completely and only, modern horror ( this is the setting that I prefer for vampires and werewolves ) Like these: Like in the movies "Blade" and "Underworld"

I'm glad you commented when you did... I was about to kill this project. There seems to be NO interest in it other than you or I. I was going to hold off on this until closer to Halloween, but was excited to think about the Vamps and Wolves, plus a few other surprizes.
Ok, I have three other projects in the works, but I will keep this "alive" so to speak for a little longer.
We shall see.

Ok, I have three other projects in the works, but I will keep this "alive" so to speak for a little longer. We shall see. Hi Dave ... I like and I am waiting for all paper miniatures. But I like most those of my friends. Sorry Dave but we will not see. Only you'll have to see. I think that for an author must be more important his interest before that of others, even of his friends. After this we can speak, if you want, gather feedbacks ... My words above are my personal preferences on the subject ( setting, modern horror ... or so ) they don't represent an evaluation on your proposal. You are the author and drawings what you like best. For now they are ( only ) sketches. They can't be evaluated for their anatomy, size, pose's accuracy ... But we can speak of them according to our personal preferences. Just talking ( ;D ;D ) For sharing our personal ideas. With vampires and werewolves I like more an urban modern horror setting rather than a classical, gothic, sci-fi or fantasy setting. But this is just my personal taste. with three factions (humans, vampires and werewolves) who move into a "secret world" I don't need a big hunter who walks in an urban environment or or a werewolf in human form, dressed as a football player, in a subway station. Both attract too much attention. In my representation there aren't classic swords and shields and animal forms have no weapons. Weapons are not futuristic but only current, modern. There are dark glasses, katanas, throwing knives, firearms, bulletproof vests, leather black coats ... in other words ... Underworld, Blade, Neo from Matrix ... ;D But this is my my imagination of vampires and werewolves. It is not your. Ciao and good work. PS: again too many things at once?

It's funny you should mention this...
I have some sketches that I have been working on that I haven't posted here, including "Celeste" and "Mr. Sanderson." I wasn't going to try to make it too fan art style, but something that would be a good stand alone set of figures.
As you can see from the sketches, katanas, Uzi-style SMG's and shotguns are about the extent of the weapons. The football player had the min-guns, but I think that I am going to eliminate the "human" factor.
Darkmook and OkumArts has humans that can eliminate the Wolf and Vamps. I need to focus on just THESE two races.
I also was playing around with magic... you can see an image or two with "Mage Orbs." These may work themselves into WARMANCERS 2. We shall see!
Thanks for the feedback, again. I am getting excited all over about this.
I will let you know that there will most likely be a few wolves with ranged weapons. I draw everything to fit into EoW games, and I have found out an army with NO ranged weapons is as good as dead!
My minotaurs only have Rangers with bows, and a coule mages, and they eliminated the Dysnasty with a slew of SMG's and machine guns!

I'll comment on the Werewolfs, since we are on such a short supply of them...
Nice wolf faces! I liked the wolf-man postures. Only the howler seems somewhat wrong to me, search for images of wolfs howling to get that expression better. loved that they are digitigrade posture wolves, and not human feet wolves! Looking good so far.
Does we have a she-wolf in a corset!? Hell, yes!

Thanks for the feedback. The She-Wolf was inspired... just made sense at the moment. That is the first time I have ever got a "Hell, yeah!" on ANYTHING I have ever done (except announcing I was leaving, but that doesn't count). I did a little work on the Vamps. Really uninspired as of late. Here are some of the inks... Attachments:

...and finally, the Thrall. These will have a "special" purpose in EoW. I just need to keep trying... The art for this set is pretty disappointing so far... Attachments:

About the inked vamps, the female and the thrall are good. You need to fix the right leg of the male vamp. It looks kind like a chicken leg to me, too much tapered at the feet.

Thanks for the tip! ;D On a side note, I was contacted by a COMIC BOOK PUBLISHER last night to design their robots! So, some of this may have to take a side-step for a while. I still get to do what I love, but it is changing a little. If nothing else, I will continue to do this, but my production time will start lagging... Oh well, I can't be TOO upset, because I am going to be designing ROBOTS for a COMIC BOOK company! Ok. I will check those out...

I don't know if 'm "allowed" or not, but I did this sketch tonight... Also, I've been getting up at 5:00 (like normal) and doing my normal routine, and since work is slow right now, I have been working 12 hours shifts at the new house. If I wasn't spreading myself too thin before, I am WORSE now! Here is an "updated" version of my Skeletron. (You may remember the first ones I did a couple years ago in Forum 86, I believe). (I basicaly design stuff and let the "real" artists draw it. It is still a dream come true - as is MUCH of the stuff that is happening in 2012). Attachments:

I know... hyper-extended right arm, missing "disc" in inner left knee, NO shadowing on left hand...
It is midnight here, and I am going to be up in 5 hours... Too tired to correct this. Been up since 5:00 this morning...
The stuff I am working on will help to make ROBOTS OF MASS DESTRUCTION very cool, as well! (I hope).

Are you talking about the robot or me? Yeah, it was just a rough sketch. Far from perfect. I have been busy with real life, and I had a limited amount of time to get this submitted. I have to do another one, a BIGGER one. I have got to rest before tackling THAT monster.

My "job" is to get the idea across, and then the "real" artists draw it.
I am just an idea man.
