Hi Kiladecus! So, you made a plan, then worked it ... . Therefore you are publishing GREAT stuff. Congrats! I must say, there is something about your line art, which I appreciate very much, those thinner and thicker lines ... very ink-arty like in old D&D tomes ... . Keep that style and don't worry too much about perspective and stuff. If I am allowed to chose between 1st and 2nd version of the female centaur, I would opt for the 1st, because of more naked skin and better compositional balance ... . Great, great Character Concepts, really. Very clear and halluzinogenic (at the same time ...) style. Greetings, paladin

I'm late to the party(as usual) but I will agree with Paladin and say I liked the first version a bit better. It is less busy because the arm doesn't cross the body. I do think Parduz was right about needing to suggest a little more twis at the waist so her shoulders could be square and her hips 3/4. I'm sure I would like the second fine if I never saw the first. Suit yourself!

Thanks guys! ;D Reivaj suggested that I include BOTH versions in the set. I might do that... We'll see. Here is the latest one I just finished... OGG OF UR! (those Orcs of Bellicose need a leader). Attachments:

Yip. Reminds me of Erol Otus stuff. I like your ideas - like the braided beard - and the overall rhythm of patterns (three spikes in a row - on the shoulders, the weapon, etc.). This style has a very soothing and nostalgic effect on me.

A "soothing" Orc? Maybe I should redo him! I know people suggested I turn my Centaur's torso a bit, but I did it for this reason... I didn't want a profile figure. There will already be a couple in this set, so I was wanting to try something different. I came up with this... also another unique idea since I just didn't want two centaurs with horse bodies... Grunting, determined Orc ... but soothing style (for me). I think, this is a backside piece for the female centaurs/zebraurs ( ). Yup. Works for me. Like her feathered hairs ... very gentle. If you color it, try to work some shadows on those parts, which are more in the background, like the Zebra legs more far away from the viewer - to make this piece readable 'depthwise' ... .

I was trying to do something a little different than just the traditional profile figures that people generally do with mounts and centaurs. I chose the twisted torso So why don't you go for "full-twist"?... ...though I'm afraid that the hmm... let's call it "rear-view" would be much err... less attractive?... ;D ---- OK, OK I was joking - just couldn't resist - especially after imagining B-side view: a lot of dust, then again dust, then... big horse arse and tail emerging from... dust... LOL!

I am not a good enough artist to do a centaur full frontal and have it look right. (A good artist knows his limits and when to push them... fortunately, SO DO I)! I will apply simple gray shading to the inner legs so they "pop" more in the coloring. I was proud of the feathers myself. I thought they could have the American Indian flavor (as much as I can do that). On a different note, I started coloring the set tonight. I have to stop myself because I keep getting more and more ideas. I could easily have a third set be called "Furry Warmancers." The first figure is colored, the CRYOMANCER. I gave her a special "touch" just for DRAGNOZ. I tried to post it here, but it said the image was too big. You can go to FACEBOOK, and type "GREY MATTER GAMES" in the search bar. You can see all of the progress I am doing on these. I can actually say that the rear images are as good, if not better than the fronts on some of these figures. Just a dozen more to go, and this set will be ready for layout...

Just a qhick update: I have the following figures fronts and backs drawn and colored: OGG OF UR (Orc Anti-Dracomancer) Centaur Biomancer (the Zebra one) Armored Hydromancer Mounted Cryomancer Female Cryomancer Shadowmancer I still have a few to go, and then this set will be ready for layout, and I would like to have it hit the shelves by the end of the month (if not sooner). How cool would it be to have 13 wizards released on Halloween. Maybe I should charge $6.66 for them!

I am so happy! I have actually done EVERYTHING I had in the poll! Here is a preview of the "large dragon" I am working on. It is not even inked all the way in this picture. I am looking about 16 figures (possibly more... we'll see)! Attachments:
