Hey all, The Camel seems to be a success, so this is something I am planning for an upcoming release. Not sure when I can get to it, but what do you think? Any thoughts? What would you like to see in another vehicle set? Attachments:

Me? Attack Copter (modern) / Flyers (near sci-fi) There's a good number of the latter, a few of the former, but i'd like something really simple to build as you're able to do.
Otherwise wheeled vehicles (from ultra light quads and sand buggy to transport trucks and trailers, to heavy eight-wheeled armored things): they're more common than tracked ones, and so they could hit the table often. Again, asking 'cause you draw stuffs simple to build.

WOW! I meant, is there anything you would like the "tank" to have, like weapon options or color options, but this works, too! I would LOVE to do some aircraft. I have to "refine" my style first before I attempt to tackle anything like that. I already have some great ideas, but I haven't got myself to that point yet. One thing I can see is a "boxy' dropship similar to the Claudius Dropship I designed a year or so ago. It wouldn't be that big, though. As far as simple to build goes, that is my goal. I have built some models that looked amazing, but took FOREVER to build. I only would build one. With my stuff, my plan is to make them so you can build a lot, and not have it be a huge undertaking. When it comes to models, I have three things I take into consideration (when I am looking to purchase an item): 1) Price 2) How easy it goes together 3) How it looks when built I think that the Camel meets all of these criteria... it doesn't cose a lot, a clean/quick build and I am happy with the final build results. Here is some of the vehicles I hae planned (in NO particular order) 1) Tank 2) Command Vehicle 3) APC Looks like I need to add 4) Dropship/ Bomber 5) Dune Buggy (something similar to the Camel only smaller) 6) Attack Helo 7) Assault Bikes Anything else? Maybe I should make a poll out of this...

What about a simple truck kila.
There just aren't enough softskins out there in paper, resin, plastic or metal!

Well, Ebbles/ Christopher Roe/ Genet has some AWESOME stuff coming out (as usual). He has this on the way... www.genetmodels.com/shop.php#!/~/category/id=3738583&offset=0&sort=normal And his Convoy stuff... and this... www.genetmodels.com/shop.php#!/~/product/category=2836949&id=12388632 And don't forget Grendals_Mother64's trucks... inkjetpaperscissors.blogspot.com/2012/06/pickup-truck.htmlOr were you thinking of something else? When you say "truck" that is kinda like saying, "It was green." There is lime green, dark green, olive drab... Were you thinking of a flat bed truck, a panel truck... Let me know. I am sure I can do something pretty cool, but when you have masters like GM64 and the "Great One," then I will probably bow out of that type of pick-up. NOW, if you are thinking about something more like an "Avalanche" version of the Camel, then that is possible. A longer bed, and four doors... That could be good. Let me know... Good ideas there! ;D

This could work, too. Maybe try to make THIS with a canvas cover. It could be a trasposrt for vehicles, troops or other stuff (including the Camel). Oh, this is fun! ;D Attachments:

Thanks Mesper! I am not really an idiot... I just come off that way! I see some potential in this, too. I would like to see some larger models come down the pike eventually. I am thinking like the G.I. Joe cartoon of the 80's that I was raised on. Attachments:

Sure. Plenty of options and size to choose from. The first two are "modular": i mean that the back can be completly flat, have just the .... "fences"?, the soft cover as seen in the images or even an hard cover. You could draw one vehicle and 4 options for the back

Or maybe a few of these... Some of these would work well with my style... but others, well, I need more practice first. Attachments:

Oh, I am getting EXCITED about this! Great ideas Parduz! * - Flatbed * - Railed * - Soft cover * - Hard Cover * - Tanker Oh, that is WONDERFUL! I could do a LOT with that... Now, if I can figure this coloring situation out, then I could do various colors... and IF I knew layers, then that would be AWESOME. (But I don't). All of those options would work well as my 2D/3D style. There would be something in there for everyone, and it would be easy to build. That could also work with the Camel carrier. I have got a few other things clogging up the pipes that I have to clear out, but I could see these hitting the "Shelf" the first part of December. Wow! Keep those ideas coming!

Hardly spamming, my friend! You are giving me inspiration! That hexagonal turret is BRILLIANT! When you are an idi... someone of limited talent, like me, then you need to find shortcuts. That is something I feel I could do fairly easily. It would translate pretty well, I believe. That settled a lot of concerns I had for the .. , and the .. I have coming out soon. Feel free to "spam" me it you can help me out like that! ;D

I don't care who or what ( I like all ) but more colors and more changes/mods would make a great model in a perfect model. ;D

Also lots of weapons and mods are always a plus, then you can make the same model different in a lot of ways! ;D

Lol Road Warriors would be awesome with a bunch of random and genaric vehicles then lots of weapons and add-on parts such as armor plates and such. Looking at that model really makes me think of the movie Death Race, Lol.

Heh Kila, Glad I seem to have set a ball rolling on the design front. Yeah, I was meaning military softskin transport, like the piccies you found in your posts above. This is an area that is sadly neglected (Mels convoy is about the only exception. THe only other I can think of is this one www.wargamedownloads.com/item.php?item=205&pics=) Stuff like unimog trucks Were what I had in mind. or Man Trucks (I think these are what Mel based his convoy designs on loosely)

Well, you know me... Rhannon once told me I talk too much. I wasn't sure if that means my posts are too long, if I was talking more than I was actually doing stuff or if I tell too many secrets. Well, here is a BIG one... this 3D vehilce project is going to be moved back until late-January (at the soonest). It is going to be GINORMOUS! Not only the vehicle... but the line. I am planning on changing "Kiladecus Motorworks" from a product line (like "Warmancers" or "Era of War") to a SINGLE release. I have been forcing myself to "push the envelope" and am actually going as far as to disconnecting the modem at home so I won't be distracted. I remember when Mel Ebbles (Christopher Roe, hard to change old habits) would ask people what they wanted out of his models. I used to ask for lots of colors... so I am putting this into practice... I spent time on this this weekend and have 10 colors (one for each of my Era Of War armies) and I am experimenting with some other textures and other items. Do you want to hear the BIGGEST news... [glow=red,2,300]WARNING:[/glow] SPOILERS The idea I am playing with now, and trying to work on, is not just ONE model, but modular components that will allow you to mix and match cabs, bed, and use wheels or tracks. Not only can you make various models, but all of them in 10 different colors. It will be like having over 32 models in one package. I may make one of each one and will give the end-user som ideas of what is possible. Now this will not be as "in depth" as TOPO's Steam Mecha set. This will be modular "blocks" that will allow you to customize your vehicles and have some other options, as well.

Bring it on Kila, you can do it!! Picked up the FAAV, printed one out to test and coloured it with felt tips!! (photo when I get the build finished). Bet you can't guess what colour it is now?

Thanks for the support! ;D I have been working on some other things... and I have a new vehicle that is ready to go! I just have to finish the OTHER 48 figures that are going to be released with it. I am still refining my skills at using EXCEL to draw with... Here is a sneak peek! Attachments:

I find a little strange that you made a circular outline in the guns, but I can't see why. After all, the barrels have linear profiles and I can only cut lines, not curves, with my x-acto.
A diamond grid pattern or something else would make the hatch look less blank.
Now, these walkers look really cool. And with color! There'll be a blank version, for us that like to pick models apart and mod them?

I can play with that... Shouldn't be too hard to fix. I have also revamped the Camel. Here it is with the K'Vyk paint scheme. I re-did the WHOLE model so I can change the camouflage and color within seconds... and I don't even have to up-load it into GIMP or anything. Can you imagine a Camel in over 1,000 colors? I won't do that many, but there will be MORE on the horizon. Also, I managed some 2D and 3D terrain pieces. This next set is going to be LOADED with extras! Attachments:
