I know this is meant to be super heroic but didn't want to miss Xmas wars so combined the two. If we get enough submissions we can lay them out on different pages. So everyone can have the minis before Xmas I've booked in my calendar to lay these out weekend of the 1/2 December so make sure your submissions are on time. In the intrest of making things easier at layout time when posting submissions please post the resolution the miniatures were designed at ie 100/200/300 (Pixels/In), If your not sure put in a scale bar or something The theme for this months HOARD is Nov- Xmas Wars & Super HeroicThis can be any sort of miniature on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your figures, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category.

Not miniatures but I'm working on some simple snow terrain so the Xmas minis from last and this year have something to game on. There not perfect but hopefully usable, I've been going for a full snow tundra rather than a thin snow look I'll work these up into layered PDF's, so far I have enough elements to make at least 9 unique tiles, but a quick small example: Doing a couple of pine trees, green-green and blue-green. I'll probably do a 75% version as well: If I have time I'll try and add a 3d rock or two but I'm trying to keep the options down so I have a chance of finishing something . I'll also upload the raw gimp files in xcf and psd format to my blog when done to make making additions easier for anyone who might want to.

Thanks both, that looks really good Squirmydad. I'll try and scribble up some quick miniatures as well as the terrain but first I'm determined to clean up the rest of 2012 so we can have a clean slate for the start of 2013

I couldn't see any nutcracker/Xmas soldier toys in past hordes so I'm hoping to finish 2 or 3 different poses up. So far I have the parts for a Sargent and for a standing at attention soldier, I might add some additional arms holding the gun across there chests but not sure I'll have time. I still have a 2nd head to digitize. Anyways the parts so far: I'll at least get 1 Sargent and 2 soldiers done

They look rather good Sirrob!! and now I have 'the march of the toy soldiers' stuck in my head, but they would make excellent adversaries/allies for your teddy bears!!! At least until you do the picnic bears faction!!!!! Hint Hint

At least until you do the picnic bears faction!!!!! Hint Hint Magpiestear your the third person to ask in the past 5 days so I think I need to get them done. I actually have all the parts already I just need to recombine them and lay the sheet out and design female picnic bear clothing .

Slowly getting the first one coloured: The colouring is not really what I was going for but with limited time I'm not going to go back and rework him/them

Same for me. In my opinion colouring style match very well specific "toy" character of figurine! This is going to be a cool mini-set...

Hi, I'm the webmaster for Brave Adventures. I don't normally do the art for our minis, but I thought I'd try. Here is my contribution to the X-Mas Wars Hoard. Thanks! -Ryan Attachments:

Nice figures! I really like how the coloring is coming out in Sirrob's soldier.
I'd like to contribute but I won't even say that this time, having a few hoard projects stopped halfway through.

Slowly getting some more time to work on my soldier, plan to finish the 3 up this weekend. It's not much time from the below to 3 finished. The dotted line is at 30mm

Well I was hoping to complete 8 (Squad) but it looks like I'm only going to get 4 done (fireteam): I'll probably take the Mo from Pvt Tinsel and put it on Pvt Candy. I've completed Sgt Brandy's back and I'm about halfway finished on Cpl Stars back, the 2 Pvts will be easy once I finish those 2. The at "attention" arms just didn't look very good when coloured and assembled so I've shelved them to the side for now. edit: I'm leaning towards scaling them to 28mm to the eye's rather than 30mm, any preferences?

All Done scaled at 28mm to the eyes give or take a little. Now I'll start on layout and build of what i can to give Squirmy (and others?) maximum time to finish. Attachments:

I am not going to make the deadline, it has been a gruelling week of work, plus I've had some time-costing setbacks in the texturing of the landship. I'm hoping to be finished by monday, but it might be later in the week as I'm pretty drained of creative energy right now. I'm not letting it fall by the wayside incomplete again.

Starting layout so other than Squirmy if you've got something to submit get it up in the next 12 hours or so.
