Ok, I am working on this new vehicle. I designed it to be a covered motorcycle, but I can also see it as a 4-wheeled dune-buggy type of vehicle. Using my technique, I can possibly do it as a Bike, and hte 3D can be a Buggy. What do you think? It is far from done, just a 10 minute sketch. Attachments:

Did I ever say that I thought your 2d/3d option system was brilliant? Because I do and I really should have. On this vehicle specifically, could you do two different "roof" pieces: one for a fat wheeled motorcycle and another for a four wheeler? All of this in addition to the fast-build 2d option. BTW I want to finish another project first (I had hoped to get it done for this months hoard) and I work VERY slowly but I had the idea of using your 2d/3d option on a dwarf cannon I have started. Would you be OK with that? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I don't own a patent on this type of model-building... Besides, I am sure if I thought of it, then it has been done somewhere for years... Although, I am sure that saying I had a good idea leaves a bad taste in some people's mouths. I LOVE the idea of a Bike AND a Buggy using the same model. The buggy version will be like the Batmobile Tumbler, and as OkumArts pointed out, Rachel's Spinner from Blade Runner. I ALSO came up with ANOTHER "good idea." I am going to attach various weapons on the "sides" so you can mix and match them. Can you imagine having a bike with a Machine gun AND two rocket launchers? Using the SAME sides, by converting it into buggy mode (or quad-mode), then you can have a Machine gun, a Laser cannon and two rocket launchers... With my WIDE selection of "new" textures, I can come up with ALL kinds of vehicles in various colors and even "dirty" versions like my new walker. Plus, with my "double-thick" concept, things like legs, and wheels are more durable than some plastic figures. ;D

I had a few more minutes to add some details to the bike version. Here is the Desert Camo. Attachments:

Weird little bugger. Remind me of the Trikes and Quad Bikes from the Dune 2 PC game.
It's a little too plain, I think. It needs more elements to be visually interesting, like the recessed panels on the camels door or the exposed panels on the camels back, or more detailed tires.

I like the Retro-fitted clunker texture.
How about an exhaust pipe? Or is it electric?

I really like watching all the in-progress posts going by - it's inspiring and maybe at some point I'll be brave enough to contribute some things of my own... I fiddled a little with your police blue and haz stripe, and I think the combination looks pretty cool. Let's see if I can figure out how to post/attach in this forum... Attachments:

Am i almost blind after a day of C++, or the wheels aren't perfect circles but ellipses?

Hey, fellas, thanks for the input. As far as the exhausts, I thought they were kinda obvious. @ mprompteau - LOVE the Haz Stripe. I may make that standard on the non-camo versions. As far as the lack of panels and so forth, I plan on placing some weapons on the sides, so that will fill in the spaces (I hope). We'll see how it looks after a demos.

@ Parduz - You are AMAZING! Yes, the wheels are eliptical nad not "round." This is because of the PDF conversions that we discussed in the past. Once I convert these to PDF, they will be round...

These will come in various colors with 4 different weapon options. The good thing about these is you can make them "single-thick" (like a regular figure), OR you can glue them to make them "double-thick" which makes them more sturdy. Better yet, by gluing two of them together, you can mix and match weapons.... By using a "Machine Gun" and a "Launcher" you can glue the two together iwth a Launcher on one side and a Machine Gun on the other. I decided (at least at this point) to not use Projection or Laser Rifles on the bikes. Chances are, if they are going to use "alien tech," they would most likely use hover technology (like the K'Vyk). Here is the Prototype Cycle with a Balisitic Rifle. Attachments:

Any other thoughts, suggestions or requests? I decided I am going to keep these BIKES. I will most-likely do a larger version of these to replace my ARES ASSAULT VEHICLE. (It was actually a little large, but a good test...) Attachments:

Oops... there they are. I blame my iPhone. How about adding a lighter highlight to the windshield to make it seem more like a reflective surface? Maybe kind of like this spaceship: P.S. Did you make that Ares Assault Vehicle? It looks awesome. Where can a person download/purchase it? Ryan

I will play with the highlight... you are right. It DOES need something. Yeah, I did that a while ago. There is only one in existence. It was a test I was playing with. I did that with Paper Make iT's SHUFFLER! I got to know PMI very well, and we became great friends. I have been planning on releasing some of these models, but now that I created the "kiladecus Method" of 2D/3D models, I will continue doing these. The model looks very cool, granted, but it was a BEAR to make.
