Just a quick/"stolen-time", mock-up... IMHO darker/black-ish wings would look much better, but at the same time they'd need additional work due to the black outline/contour (15-30mm scale); but then some pale/light brown should be also acceptable. Then I think that this kind of figurine is perfect for 2.5D =>> meaning wings as separate parts, which can be attached and then additionally bend

Yes to the 2.5d wings. They would look fine light brown.

Yes to the 2.5d wings. They would look fine light brown. Hmm... just now realised that then figurine might be unstable - ie. big wings will overweight figurine with standard paper base (thought it might be OK for some heavier plastic basing systems like Litko), so probably wings should be attached in different way, not like at previews (so rather both at his left side thus more or less symmetric to the base's longer side - I'll try to mod it this way later). Anyway, here are some more colour versions, just for fun: EDIT: I do prefer version with torn "shirt" (or "harness")

I haven't had a problem with 2.5d bat wings, even on large figures with paper bases. I just used a big enough base to keep it balanced. This pic shows the demon's base with foamcore added, the one I built I didn't add foam to the base and it worked fine.
