I got referred to this place by someone on MeWe after describing my plans to make paper minis for my next big planned tabletop campaign. After playing some OSR a whole lot for the past years I've decided to GM D&D 5e but, not content with simple fantasy I want to make a game based off the style of old Japanese RPG (JRPG). Thus my plan is to make '2d mini' using paper/carboard using my own sprite artwork+paper/cardboard. Hoping to learn how to make those in a way that works and satisfy my needs.

Hi, my name is Meynard. I'm starting out as a GM for Savage Worlds, and I'm also new to the paper model hobby. I like the idea of it, bringing quality models to the table that is affordable and can be customized anyway you like.

Hi, I'm from Quebec but living in Sydney, Australia. I've recently developed an interest in using papercraft figurines and other assets in game both for their versatility and because I'm "thrifty" (sounds better than being cheap).
My interest tends to be toward sci-fi and alternate history rather than Medieval Fantasy.
I also tends more toward making 3D minis rather than flat ones.

Okay, with Aussies and Canadians in Australia, do you know of any Australian car models other than various Falcon Interceptors?

Joining the fray late, go by Decapitated Markers, love ttrpgs and would one day love to make an animated feature.
Married, have two kids, and drawing is definitely a hobby and passion for me. Would love to do it full time.

Hi folks, My name is Raul, and i'm a graphic designer from Brazil, i draw paper minis for some time but now i want to make it more pro, with a Patreon page to support it and a board game design i'm also designing. Right now all the minis i'm making are fantasy setting (Dnd and Pathfinder mostly), but i want to start making some sci fi in the future. =)

I am absolutely loving papercraft as resin/plastic models for tabletop are horrendously overpriced and don't offer the same level of adaptability.
I am currently finding my feet and experimenting after doing a couple of Fat dragons major sets and a few free hand ships and mountains.
I am wondering what the main sets are for interior. I have looked into the major players I.E..
FDG Dave Schnitzel Mystic Mountain Paper realms etc
Basically if a building has no interior I am very unlikely to build it. I am mainly looking for a large modular castle set if one exists?

I'll keep it short and sweet - I'm a pixel artist, (and a regular one, but we always find ourselves specializing, right?) A buddy and just recently launch our site where you can find and print out tons of our models for free, with special variants and units for patrons - you can find it at retrogrademinis.com/ But all that aside, I'm glad I found this forum! Seems like it suits me down to the bone.

I was playing with your site and after I plopped a few minis down on the preview ruins I really wanted to start a rumble in the ruins that you use for the page backdrop. Fun stuff! Have you thought of releasing tiles of the background ruins and jungle?

Nice little video, but you should really have worn a different shirt. It's pretty hard to see the white flaps in front of the white fabric. Other than that two thumbs up for your technique and the presentation of it.

Just joined today. Been flirting with a shift away from 3d Pre-painted mini and toward paper figures. Too little storage space combined with an unfortunate shift from table play to solo play has made me rethink my vast collection. Sold off a small wave and had enough to purchase a nice start on a paper figure collection.
Was recommended to join this forum so I did.
Thanks for the acceptance.

Welcome. What do you play? At the moment I am focused on Four Against Darkness as my time for games is very limited so the solo and speed allows me to play in the small gaps I find. LOL I have played RPGs for more then 40 years (god that makes me feel old when I say that) but my go to games are D&D in various versions and Traveller. I have also played table top miniature games Star Grunt, Song of Blades and Heroes, 40k (but swore off it, that is a drug), I prefer games with small bands over huge armies. Finally I did dip my toe into board games with Zombicide Black Plague and Massive Darkness Sadly changes in my personal life (kids in High School), work (new role), and just general life have made gaming a much smaller part of my life then it has been in the past. Side note: What has driven me to the cardboard flats? I realized the volume of storage and money I have tied up in my painted stuff that in some cases I have not touched for decades. So I am divesting lots of it and replacing my hordes with cardboard. LOL
