While I don't want to dissuade you from any of Kev's great stuff, if counters aren't what you are looking for, you could look at Coins of the Realm, $4.50 from WorldWorksGames. They have high fantasy coins based on their concept of dwarven, elven, and human. The dwarven coins are axe-head shaped, the elven are flower-shaped with each petal detachable (inspired by pieces of eight), and the human ones look, well, within the normal range of antique human coinage. The set also includes a treasure chest to store them in. Note, I've not yet bought anything from World Works, though I've admired from afar. I've stuck so far with Fat Dragon & Dave Graffam for scenery, and other paper crafters I've met here & found on RPGNow/DrivetrhuRPG. WorldWorks comes highly recommended, and has lots that tempt me. Another option, less expensive, less blingy, but including more fluff, is 10 Fantasy Coins, FREE! from Chaotic Shiny Productions on RPGNow. If those still don't work for you, other solid options include plastic pirate coins (check party supply stores, ebay, amazon, for cheap bulk, pricing in the US) or very detailed metal Campaign Coins or Realm Coins from Mused Fable. But I'm guessing the sheer expense of those last two options may be what made you look at a papercraft alternatives! These are all the options I've found, but I've yet to put one into play yet. Hope these help - have fun!

Those look really neat! What amounts do they come in? Got copper, silver, gold and platinum. They come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100. Gold coins also come in 500 and 1000. Exclusive to the bundle is a set of diamonds in the same denominations. I'm thinking about trying out your gold ones. I think they will work perfect cause I'm working on playing a paper model version of descent, got most the tokens I need and am working on versions of the cards now, main thing I was missing was coins lol.

Yeah, they should work great for a Descent clone. The potions will probably come in handy too if you haven't already got that base covered. They come in lots of flavours!
