OK, so I have done up a few minis. All with artwork pulled from other sources.
WHat is the best or standard way to lay them out on a sheet?
How think is the "black line" at the bottom of the mini?
How thick do you make the cutting boarders around the mini?
Thanks Cadia

Check the "design advice" thread. I think the "tab" at the bottom is 8mm x 20mm (it can be an outline, not a black box) and the cutting boarder should be in the 4mm to 5mm range. Again, these are my guesses. Looking forward to seeing what you share!

I lay out figures now so there is some decent space between them, and to get as many on the same fold line as possible, this makes it easier to glue them.
For borders ,I like to use 2mm outside the edge for the fronts and 3mm for the rear. Then I recommend trimming from the front view, then you know you will trap the black outline on the rear.
My stock tabs are 4mm tall by 5mm by the recommended base width, although I'll be switching to 3mm tall by 5mm shorter than base size for use with acrylic basing. JIM

Thanks Jim! This is a clear answer to a common question. Can it be moved to somewhere prominent so new artists (and those of us with poor memories) can find it.
Suggestion: Use a 1mm line box rather than "solid" tab that is 5mm narrower than the base and 4mm tall. Those wishing to use acrylic basing can trim inside the line, people who like the "old standard" can trim to the outside of the line.

Thank for the info. Just to clarify, 4mm tab for each side? For a total of 9 mm from the bottom of the front side foot to the bottom of the back side foot, 4 for each tab and a 1mm fold line.

To go back one post: I think a 1mm fold line is too wide. I use two or three pixels at 300dpi
