Well after a few years of tweaking and reworking and trashing more designs then I can think of I now have the following mesh almost ready to be unfolded. Here is a picture of what I have so far with a 30mm figure for scale. Finished size is about 45mm tall, the smallest facing on this i 4mm so it is still fold-able but you might need tweezers. This is the light mech chassis and I will be doing a medium and heavy setups as well. The weapons are somewhat modular in that they are 4mmx4mmx8mm bricks that have individual textures on them representing what type of weapon they are. These can be placed anywhere on the mechs so that you can have them fit into what ever game you are playing. As development progresses I might need a test builder other then myself to see if I need to tweak anything. Let me know what you guys think.
Vermin King: Not the style you are looking for, but try a search for 'paper theatre' or 'paper theater', and you will find a few pages of epinal figures. Not many, but I know there are a few

shep: Does anyone know where to find decent individual minis of late Roman Republic era civilians? From senator to slave, every mini would be great, as long as they are not legionaires or generals or other military (Praetorian Guard and Roman Vigiles excluded)
