Some time ago, I rediscovered SW. My fault is to have underestimated this ( great ) gaming system before. Now, just a few days, in Italy an independent producer has also published the first four books in italian language. "Savage World - Edizione da Battaglia" ( battle edition ). I suppose this is the last "Savage Worlds Deluxe: Explorer's Edition". And three setting books ( Two about Deadlands and one original fantasy setting, "Enascentia" - links: a deviantart page ) . But in the end I prefer more other settings. So I need some helps to find other SW settings. 1 - modern ( and modern survival ) horror. All. 2 - Retro sci-fi ( or retro space, as you prefer ) 3 - A steampunk setting ( not only victorian colonial like red sands ) 4 - but mostly I'm looking for a fairy tales (scary tales, twisted tales ... ) setting. Here also a stand-alone game system should be fine. An adult "Fairy tales" setting ( adult for plot, gore ... not other contents ... ). As references: "Grimm", "Once Upon a Time"and "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" TV series ... some recent "action" movies like "Snow White and the Huntsman", "The Brothers Grimm", Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters ... Fables ( comics ) ... American McGee's Alice ( videogame ) ... Fairytale Games thefairytalegames.com/ ... some old McFarlane action figures ( monsters series ) ... Possibly in a modern setting. Any helps?

I think the Solomon Kane setting would give you what you need for the "dark fairy tale" adventures you are thinking about. The tech isn't quite as advanced as what Hansel and Gretel have.

Thanks for this - it's really useful. I've perused the freebie one-shots from the PEG website, and even picked up Thrilling Tales in hopes of one day running some Pulp... Savage Worlds looks like fun, but as I'm still learning Pathfinder (which actually has players in my area), it's on hold for a while.

Thanks to all for your valuable assistance. Davidfor retro/pulp sci-fi I have taken Slipstream, easily in the future will put together with it also "Daring Tales of the Space Lanes" products by TAG. I'm sorry to somewhat neglect Cosmic Patrol but I like to try SW related products. For a while I will remain curious about "Rocket Age". I haven't yet figured out how Rippers is. It seems to me more a victorian horror setting than a steampunk, so I try to understand better. imnnttthank you very much for the very useful insider's link. I think that I will use it often. Steamscapes is closest to what I'm looking for, but I still have to study it better. @cowboy thanks, but I have poorly explained. ) I am interested in fairytale characters that come to life, and they are adults and evil ( or maybe not so evil ). so Hansel and Gretel is not a good example. Thanks to all again.

From your fairy tales notes, it may be Triple Ace Games' " Wonderland No More" might be closest to what you're seeking, but it would probably need some work to make it more generic. At present, it relies heavily on the Lewis Carroll "Alice" tales.

Yes Rhannon, I understood you but I was not so clear. I recently saw the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters movie that you refer to. In the movie they have a gatling gun, which is beyond the tech level of Solomon Kane. But the horror aspect is there. You should be able to find some stats for witches, vampires and other creatures that appear in .the fairy tales and use them to populate your scenarios. If you want to advance the technology just a little you can check the Savage Worlds "Pirates of the Spanish Main" for more hardware and new Edges and Hindrances. In lots of ways the original Solomon Kane stories were dark fairy tales.

Also the Deadlands Smith and Robards Catalog has very "steampunky" technological items in it. It might be very useful for extra weapons and gear for you anyhow.
