I am working on a nifty little model. It is a mobile rocket launcher. I am about 2/3 of the way through it, and I have to do the instructions.

It's a good looking model! The only glitch i see are some of the textures, which are too stretched (too big) and so the model "loose" a bit of his majesty looking smaller than it should be.... as example, the "almonds" in the plate behind the cab at that size will be big as a whole human foot, more or less...

Darn you, Parduz! I can't sneak ANYTHING past you! Once it is finished, I am hoping that the little things won't be noticeable. I actually had two options: Have REALLY big diamond plating, OR have a lot of squares all over the texture. I could have dropped squares over it, which would be good for movement, but I think that it would have distracted even more from the model. I *may* just drop a camo slab on there, and forego the diamond plate. Here is a computer rendered version of the whole model. I am making it as close to this image as possible, but keeping it as simple to build as possible. Many of the elements in this picture are going to be "flat" (like the missiles/rockets) and rendered as 3D-esque as possible. I am debating on having the missile pack actually elevate... but I may just drop a "wedge" in there that props it up a bit, or you can have it facing forward (as in the image above). The platform itself can also be stationery, OR can pivot. I had it sitting on my drawing board, which is angled, and it was on my wife's iPad. BOTH items slid off, and the iPad landed ON the model. I figured it was destroyed... It actually survived without a dent! Now I don't recommend trying this yourself, but it *seems* to be more durable than some PLASTIC models!

Thanks for sharing the link, Mags! I have to say I was pretty darn proud of how it turned out. I have a LOT of other models in the works, I just have some other projects to wrap up first.

No probs Kila, though I have to admit that I have only just got round to gettig it, even though it's been in my basket at WV since you released it. Hope some of those 'other models' you're working on includes those simple apc's you previewed a while back! Mags

I have a LOT of models I am planning on releasing. I have a Deadly Missions set I am wrapping up today, and a Era Of War set I am planning to release *soon.* Once I get those pumped out, I have about 30 projects that I want to "finish" including several models, a few maps, another board game, yet ANOTHER board game, and even a new "take" on DM. There isn't enough time in the day to work on these as much as I would like, but I do what I can with my limited time. Thanks for the encouraging words. I hope when you get it built you post some pictures. I really like that model. Sure, the Camel was a good foundation for an introduction into 3D models that are easy to build, but the final product (Zeus) is one that I think could stand toe-to-toe with ANY Papercraft model. As far as the APC's go... I will revisit them since I know there is interest. I will be honest, I do the projects that interest me, and ones that I can use the most. I tried to do it the other way around, and you work on things that one or two people may like, and that is it. If I do stuff that I like, then at least I have it. Seriously, I will move that up in the queue. One of my next models is going to be this: ...that is if anyone would be interested in it. Let me know what you think. David
