I have always loved this wonderful dark sci-fi setting ( Mutant Chronicles & Warzone - "Mutant Chronicles Warzone" Kickstarter ) Now Modiphius ( for me he, Chris Birch, is a guarantee. Especially after his " Achtung! Cthulhu - The WW2 Keeper's & Investigator's Guides" kickstasrter campaign ), at the end of January, will launch a new kickstarter campaign for the third edition of this RPG. "Mutant Chronicles - The Dark Legion returns". The facebook official page: Mutant Chronicles 3rd Edition Roleplaying Game. The Kickstarter is maybe a month away - what do YOU Most want to see offered? Life size shoulder pads, custom dice, t-shirts of your favourite corp logos, floor tiles, new miniatures (of freelancers, corporate suits, heretics, civilian adventurers, luna police), more adventures or campaigns, more setting books (more info on each world?) Big poster size maps of the worlds, Leather bound collectors edition of the core book, Dark Legion or Brotherhood pendant, tactical maps of special locations - Luna spaceport, a citadel, etc, what else?

Now this project is starting. It will be founded in a few hours ( I think about a couple ). I think that professionalism, helpfulness and honesty always pay ( 20 minutes in and it is already 1/3 of the way to funded ). Modiphius unleashes the Dark Legion in the 3rd edition of the dieselpunk sci-fi RPG with brand new content & cinematic rulesThe Mutant Chronicles Kickstarter is a re-boot of the amazing techno-fantasy roleplaying game from the same team who produced the successful Achtung! Cthulhu Kickstarter. Our GoalWe’re raising money to pay for stunning full colour, hard cover books for the settings and rule books starting with the rules and core setting book Mutant Chronicles: Dark Symmetry. We plan to deliver the core book PDF in July, and the print version in August. Backers will receive pre-print PDF's to assist with proof reading in June. Modiphius plans re-design of the rules and a re-write of the setting guides and supplements to include brand new material alongside the existing storyline. You can expect the usual high quality production values that Modiphius is known for (just check out the comments from backers of the Achtung! Cthulhu Kickstarter). Awesome new art will reveal never before seen parts of the Mutant Chronicles universe alongside the existing fantastic images by Paul Bonner, Peter Bergting and Paolo Parente. You can expect massive campaigns, fantastic accessories and miniatures produced in conjunction with Prodos Games specifically for the roleplaying game. ... What is Mutant Chronicles?Mutant Chronicles was one of the bigger names in gaming in the 1990's with the Doom Trooper collectible card game translated in to 16 languages, three boardgames, two video games, the massive Warzone miniatures game and the Mutant Chronicles 1st and 2nd Edition roleplaying games with more recently a Hollywood movie, Fantasy Flight Games pre-painted miniature game and last year the reboot of Warzone by Prodos Games. Watch our video for examples of the stunning art from the world. The Mutant Chronicles story took you on this full throttle dieselpunk sci-fi ride through a solar system beset by corporate intrigue and the invasion of a terrible dark alien force. With technology failing due to the insidious effects of the Dark Symmetry humankind must fight back against the Dark Legion hordes whilst dealing with in-fighting and conspiracy from within. The Solar System is a roaring mayhem of death and war. The surfaces of the inner planets have been swept clean by the violent onslaught of the dark legions storming hordes of Nepharites, Razides, Pretorian Stalkers and Undead Legionaries. In the enormous cities of the far and distant future, heretics devoted to the destruction of humankind stalk the dark backstreets and gloomy alleys spreading their teachings of greed, jealously and war [From the 2nd Edition Back Cover]In the late 21st century a growing madness of plagues, wars, terrorism and environmental collapse led to the rushed terraforming of the colonies by the major corporations, an exodus from Earth and the final cataclysmic nuclear war. It takes hundreds of years to re-establish life as we know it on the inner worlds of our solar system. Imperial, Capitol, Bauhaus and Mishima now rule from their homes in the steaming jungles of Venus, the caverns of Mercury, the deserts of Mars and the many orbitals and asteroid homes of the solar system. Luna City is a vast neutral sprawl, many hundreds of years old, built up and over the first colony and mines. A fateful exploratory mission to Pluto unleashes an ancient evil force 'The Dark Symmetry' upon the thinking machines of man. As technology fails (and even fights back), mankind is beset with conspiracy and corporate intrigue from within. Dark things gather on the edges of the colonies and whilst corporate war consumes the greatest armies of man, the Dark Legion’s citadels rise up throughout the worlds of the solar system and terrifying armies march out to consume all. They were defeated long ago, they will not be defeated this time... As the Dark Symmetry's malign influence on humanity grows, the Brotherhood with their strange powers, arise to unite the corporate armies as one and fight back. We filled in the gaps in the original storyline, expanded the backstory and plotted secret events that will carry your adventures through a 1000 years of future history. Now you can play during the early days of the Dark Symmetry with investigations of foul cults and technology turning on mankind, through to the brutal Corporate Wars and then fight the Dark Legion as they pour forth from their citadels across the colonies. The Mutant Chronicles 3rd Edition RPG system is a full rewrite playtested by over 400 groups in the last the last 6 months and has been designed for cinematic adventure - whether you want investigative, discovery or action orientated games - you can learn more in the videos we'll be adding below under 'Would You Like to Know More'. I must say I am impressed with the layout of the beta rules. It's very clean and has this techno-fantasy feel from the start. Good job! Hope it brings us a lot of backer to get those caimpagns unlocked ...... the OpenBeta Document is really nice with all that Art in it and how it is designed. Now i just need the time to do more than just skim it. Are those the final Character Sheet designes? I kind of like the look of it. ...... BLOWN AWAY by the Beta Rules. Simply amazing. Just upped to "Setting Book Master" pledge level. I want it all. Well done! ...... Hi Chris. I just pledged for Mutant Chronicles 3rd ed. I hadn't really planned to do so, back when it started. I knew next to nothing about the Mutant Chronicles setting except "Isn't it that European game that's sorta like Warhammer 40k?" I had seen the movie and was not impressed, at all. I never read the books and didn't know anything about the game system either. But I saw that the playtest document was released and decided "heck, might as well give it a look." I like the feel of the setting quite a bit, from what I've seen there. Computers turning against man, alien inter-dimensional creatures, dark cults, etc. I'm not totally sold on the rules yet (I've never cared for hit location rules, will there be a way to eliminate them and just have 1 pool of Health?) But overall, the look and feel of it was interesting enough to get me to pledge, despite my lack of experience with Mutant Chronicles. I look forward to seeing what you create! ... ...

While I found the background premise a little iffy, it had the very best and simplest combat system. I hope this succeeds.

While I found the background premise a little iffy, it had the very best and simplest combat system. I hope this succeeds. Hi Glenn, I think that the background premise can be a little iffy probably because (I only gave it a quick read) some points and information about the setting are not yet complete in the demo and description. But MC universe is a hard sci-fi setting coherent and complete. And this third edition adds new eras, new factions, new locations ... without damaging but increasing its coherence by adding also new possibilities and opportunities. And very easily Modiphius succeed, given his previous projects, also to increase the overall quality of this setting. Imho. I think that it ( this kickstarter campaign ) has already been successful. Its starting founding goal was 11,000 UK pounds. And we are now already 94,000 uk pounds. And still five days to the campaign's end ( usually in the last days pledges increase. So we can assume that this campaign will end at over 100,000 UK pounds. And this is not a small amount for an indie producer, imho ) For me as a backer, and for my pledge, we are already at a good point now. I usually prefer pledges that have digital products as rewards. In this case, my pledge (40 UK pounds, about 64 USD), even now, brings to me a dozen digital books. Little more than $ 5 for each product. a good deal even now. Core Rule ( and Dark Symmetry setting book ) Players Guide Imperial Guide Dark Legion book ( combined with Core Rule ) PDF GM screen Capitol Guide Dark Soul and Apostles Guide ( part 1 and part 2 ) Bauhaus Guide Mishima Guide Brotherhood Guide Withestar Guide Today seven books are still locked. Three campaign books ( Dark Symmetry, Dark Legion and Dark Eden ) and four guides ( Cybertronic, Cartel, Heretics & Mutants and Luna & Freelancers ) but I think that some of them will still be unlocked before the end of the campaign. Ciao.

This post is a little OT but I don't like to open too many new topics about the same subjects. I'm so glad for this excellent reboot that I'm already preparing my specific paper minis. Unfortunately I haven't yet assembled them, so I can't post photos about the finished minis. And of course I can't post them in a complete form because IP and publishing rights are not mine, but belong to the author and the subject ( MC characters ) is copyright of others. So, for now, they are only for a close personal use. But I think that just share only a "front half bust" image could be acceptable to all owners. So ... They are ( left to right ) a male LPD ( Luna Police Department ) officer, an undead legionnaire and a generic female Doomtrooper. The hand that drew I think it's known to everyone ... A little hint for the few who do not recognize it: the author is the best paper minis' artist and producer for modern / horror / (and now) sci-fi figures that there is in the field.

migibb: I apologize. My bad English language doesn't make clear my sentences. I'm sorry. These three paper minis ( like some others TWD figures ) are a my own personal commission to Adam. They are complete ( front/back/base ... ) paper minis. But I haven't yet assembled them. So I can't post pictures of them in a setting landscape. I have only the finished paper figures' pdf. But I can't post them complete ( with front and back ) because IP and publishing rights about paper minis are not mine ( they remain an author's property. In this case Adam ). Probably Mutant Chronicles IP are by other authors/producers. Including Modiphius. Or at least I suppose so. To my knowledge, to date, there is no official agreement between Darkmook Miniatures and Modiphius to produce official paper minis.

Ah now I understand..... So do we need to lean on Adam (and you) to have these released as a "special"? With names to changed to protect the IP-innocent??

Ah now I understand..... So do we need to lean on Adam (and you) to have these released as a "special"? With names to changed to protect the IP-innocent?? 1 - First of all I don't mean in any way affect the Adam's rights as author ( and producer ). I don't consider him only as an author but also, and above all, as a friend ( a "virtual" friend because unfortunately I don't know him in person ). So I let his answer to him. He is a ( great imho ) indie producer. I think the best solution for him is to produce commercial sets with these figures ( or other commissioned figures ) and then sell them. But this is only my personal opinion. Not an Adam's thought. 2 - I am a paper figures' fan. Owning some particular figures is only a part of this pleasure. Imho. The other part is sharing them. Otherwise I could be many things ( a collector, a player, maybe even a professional author or a producer ... ) but I could not be a fan. Imho. :-D So I'll answer for my very small part. Not only I have no problem if Adam decided to share these figures in the way that he thinks better ( all free, only commercial set, a bit and a bit ... it is not important ) but I'm very happy for this. I ordered these figures because I liked some specific figures and they were not available. I paid for them. But because they were drawn. Not for their own publishing rights or brag of having something that others don't have. I like to share my passions ( not my wife though ). So for me there is no problem. Ciao

Well if Adam wants to put a price tag on them I would snap them up that's for sure. Only thing that has stopped me getting more of his stuff is the fact that I am not big on the whole zombie genre...

Two other guides have been unlocked. Now is the time for campaigns and Dark Eden Setting Book. But I think that is very interesting the new pledge level that has been added. PDF Subscription. As a £ 60 add-ons to PDF Master level (£ 40), or as a new pledge level (£ 100) Ok, it isn't very cheap, at least for many people. But it includes at least 22 digital books ( much more than 2000 pages ) 1 PDF ( 400 pages ) Core rulebook. 1 PDF ( 96 pages ) Player's Guide. 1 PDF ( 248 pages )Dark Soul & Apostles Guide. 10 ( 96 pages each ) Factions' Guides. ( Imperial, Capitol, Bauhaus, Mishima, Cybertronic, Brotherhood, Whitestar, Heretics & Mutants, Cartel & Orbitals, Luna & Freelancers ) 4 Campaign's books ( 192 pages Dark Symmetry Campaign, Dark Legion Campaign, Dark Eden Campaign and the new Venusian Apocalypse Campaign, this is an episodic release of 4 x 48 page PDF adventures ) 1 Dark Eden Setting book 1 MC Savage Worlds conversion 1 Mutant Chronicles Art book 1 PDF GM screen 5 PDF 70 card decks Plus all other releases ( in PDF format ) that Modiphius will produce in 2015 and some discounts on future print products. Some of these are still sold as PDF add-ons ( MC Savage Worlds conversion at 20 £, Mutant Chronicles Art book, 15 £, and card decks bundle at 20 £ ), so this new pledge level in the end is not a bad deal imho for: Dark Symmetry Core Book PDF Players Handbook PDF Imperial Guidebook PDF Capitol Guidebook PDF Dark Soul Guidebook PDF Bauhaus Guidebook PDF Mishima Guidebook PDF Cybertronic Guidebook PDF Whitestar Guidbook PDF The Brotherhood Guidebook PDF Luna & Freelancers Guidebook PDF Mutants & Heretics Guidebook PDF Cartel Guidebook PDF Dark Eden Setting Book PDF Dark Symmetry Campaign PDF Dark Legion Campaign PDF Dark Eden Campaign PDF Venusian Apocalypse PDF Mutant Chronicles Art Book PDF Savage Worlds Core Book Conversion in PDF The Fall of von Holle ( adventure )PDF Dead Angels E-book All Card Decks ( 5 ) in PDF PDF GM Screen All other Mutant Chronicles PDF Releases in 2014/2015
