Great set! As always. I hope that in the future there will be a next set with dragon knights on flying dragons. ( Hope doesn't cost )

Have to admit I am not as excited by these as I have been your other sets Mesper. The armour and equipment look a bit too historical to go with the dragon rider image - if that makes sense?? They look a bit incongruous, like you have taken knights from a medieval set and stuck them on top of the dragons. I think they would look better if their armour was more "fantastical". All in my humble opinion of course.....

Yes. But also they fly, in the air .. Could be done, but the major issue is how to base such a big figurine! It could be done like in some of Pegasus set figurines with kinda wind-blow or clouds, but still it is rather too big figurine. so perhaps some kind of stiffen solution should be used (something like "/\" shape) ? Then it would be also nice to have dragon version with different legs/paws - kinda "flying" version, with paws closer to dragon's body Anyway, some early test-preview... ... You are perfectly right! These are more medieval then fantasy-style knights. Dunno, probably I was too influenced by the story of Saint George (although he was a Roman soldier but there are many medieval and later periods paintings showing him killing the dragon)? Well, there are much more fantasy-style warriors in Dragonslayers set... (funny thing is that in fact Dragonslayers is IMHO one of mine best or at least most liked by me sets, and which for some reason was kinda belittled...) Anyway I agree to some extent with you so maybe for better stylistic cohesion such more classic fantasy-styled knights could replace these medieval ones in "Flying Dragons" set (not promising, but it sounds interesting)?

Well I may not have been sold on the dragon riders, but you just sold me the dragonslayers set!! lol!! (Picked up the fantasy bundle in fact to get the Fantasy Heroes too at the cheap price...) I think the riders would look much better equipped and armoured like the dragonslayers. Your griffin riders have 'non-historical' costume, don't they?
Alternatively do some dark elves or goblinoids to ride the dragons??

Like the idea of the flying dragons, pegasi, etc. Still not sure how I managed to miss the excellent Dragonslayers set, but thanks to this topic, I've just remedied that omission! For the flying creatures, cloud bases sound good - maybe with a few 2.5D clouds to dodge between as well? As for getting the bases right, how about adopting Squirmydad's transparent flying bases from the Forum Hoard #112 discussions? I don't think that Hoard's available as yet, but the photos show the basic concept quite well. With the Dragon Knights, the bases might need to be larger of course, so that could be problematic.
