I just received a proof copy in the mail of some dungeon tiles that I am working on. Let me know what you think. I have a lot of projects stuck in the pipe right now because I can't afford the time to put the finishing touches on them. So, sorry if you're waiting on one of the projects I've announced but haven't made available yet. I also regret not having been able to spend much time on the forums lately. In real life, I am recently married, studying Japanese, and applying for masters programs and a new job to start this April. It's pretty hectic. If I get the job I'm hoping for, I should have more time for the hobby. So wish me luck! Hopefully I'll be able to clear out the queue soon.

Really nice "generic" tiles. Don't like a lot the ladders (the steps shadows, at least in the image) looks too much "stripe" than shadow) but is a nice set. Do you plan to produce it? I mean, real cardboard product?

Very cool. I am sitting here trying to identify the figures in the pic now.... I recognise your dwarf, cultists, lich(?), orcs and bard but who is the guy with torch? And are those unreleased skeletons at the back (or someone elses)?

By ladder, were you referring to the steps or did you mean you also don't like the rope bridges? I wasn't sure. These are going to be sold through DriveThruCards as 6x6 POD tiles. Good eye! The skeletons and the guard are unreleased minis. They are a couple of the first minis I drew, so they're not vey good. I'm not sure if I'll release them or not. I might just release them on our website only or in the forum or something. Maybe I'll hide them somewhere as an Easter Egg and give clues for where to find them = P

I know the "problem": you can't use perspective to add "depht" 'cause the orthogonal top view, so you can only work with lights and shadows. For the little i can see, you could make them "degrade" more (so, they smoothly disappear)... if you graphic program allow this kind of control, i'll try a "square curve" for the degradation, otherwise you'll forced to use a linear one. (hope this all make sense )

...i was talking only about the shadows cast by the steps How about something like this? Keep in mind this is meant to be printed through DriveThruCards. Not from a home printer.
