I agree, the thigh could do with lengthening and having perspective applied to the vertical lines of the grid. I see you're already on the case

Well, here is the final version of VAX MERCER. As you can see, I corrected the proportion and perspective issues. NOW I MUST SLEEP!

I was able to spend a little time on this today, and laid out the figures, do a test-build of the 16 figures, make the ability cards (featuring nearly 50 abilities) and do the character cards for them. Got a lot accomplished. Here are the figures. Sorry for the dark picture. It is 1:00am here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Attachments:

Cool. I'm sorry, but maybe I lost the information: do they have backs?

Yes, and their backs look as good as the fronts!
VAX mercer, the elf with the spears, has a great detail on him and his spears.
On Hunter, his poisoned knives wrap his whole torso, so he can spin it as he throws them.

We did a play test last night of the new rules, and we mixed first edition (standard, regular or classic... your choice) figures and the new figures, and it blended very well. We used Nemo's map from the third Quest set, we faced a lot of Level One characters. The player playing Skarr found a bottle of Antidote. When we reached the library, we understood why... we were facing HUNTER SKYLOW. His equipped with both poisoned blades, and throwing knives. "You WILL be poisoned on this ride." Undead and Constructs are immune to poison, so they rushed in. The mages held back, until they realized that Hunter is immune to magic. In the end, Jack (from the first Quest Set) used his 4D attack to roll a 5 and a couple 6s, bringing down Hunter in a single turn. It was a great game, and the new format worked like a dream. We also realized some changes with the tokens that are going to enhance the game that much more. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I've been trying to tie up some loose ends, and wrap up some other projects. With them behind me, I was able to start on some of the other aspects of the upcoming rule book.

Here is the updated cover shot. I posted the new cover for the upcoming DEADLY MISSIONS 2econd Edition yesterday, and I received a LOT of great feedback. I also took these thoughts and ran with them. This new cover ties things together better, and is less distracting. Less text gives it a simpler look, and lets the reader focus on the things that are more important. For the first time, the DM title isn't flame. This is good because it gives the appearance of a new, fresher feel, which is exactly what this set offers.

Portal gates looks really AWESOME! Kinda moonlight enfolded with slightly "out-of-this-world" effect Kudos!

QUICK UPDATE! Old School Dungeons has signed on for this project! You may remember their work from the first two Quest Sets. This time, instead of 4x4 tiles, they are working with us on 6x6 tiles. This will be a new set of tiles, and can be mixed in with various other 6x6 tiles, such as the ones by Nemo. Thanks for your attention.

QUICK UPDATE #2! I am really trying to wrap this up by the end of the month, so I can unleash some of the new sets in the works. I have to admit, BilliamBabble Inked Adventures's Treasure Chest are fantastic, and he was gracious enough to let me use them in all of the First Edition (now referred to a "Classic") Deadly Missions sets, but I am VERY happy with the way these new 2econd Edition chests are turning out. Now I just need to fill them!

UPDATE #3: The new Treasure Chest tokens look incredible, at least I think so. There are 28 tokens, which covers each of the six characters, and gives them a maximum of three tokens each, and has a few "surprises!" Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Attachments:

We did the maps for the first two Quest sets together, but they were only 4x4 maps... Although they were incredible. When I approached him about these he told me to knock myself out.
I am happy with the first few tiles, so far.
Once this set is knocked out, we will be visiting the wild west and then Egypt!

Well, I am improving ALL aspects of the game, and making the whole set more "printer-friendly." I am making the creature tokens all fold-over (like the other tokens in the game), making them more durable. The Level One and Two creatures will still have cards (like the characters, poker-sized instead of index card sized, but the Level Three tokens will actually BE the creature card...

Well, this should be the final update before the release... I am hoping to get this released this week. My goal was the 31st, but I have had a tough schedule at work.
Keep your eyes peeled for the big release announcement. All this time, and we're *almost* there!

WOW! I have really been working on this for nearly six months? No wonder I haven't been releasing other products! Well, I better get back to work on this. Positive thought: once this is released, I will not have to release any more rule books! Just characters/figures, creatures and maps... In short, the "Good Stuff."

I am working on the new book, and trying to punch it up with some images. This is one I am working on for "MOVEMENT" section, but I need to get @reivaj's permission to use his cat. I did the back, and tweaked the image a bit. The BEST example of movement I have seen yet.

I am STILL trying to get this wrapped up, but things are taking longer than expected, but the results (at least in my opinion) are worth the wait. One thing I am doing is adding a few images to punch things up a bit, and this is the image for "CLOSE COMBAT." Avalon fighting a Minotaur is just an awesome combination.

WAIT! Does this mean there are rules that will allow you to play Deadly Missions on a regular map, or even GMG's tile set? Yes. Yes, you can. You can even run complete armies. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Attachments:

Well ERA OF WAR is a great game. WARMANCERS is a fun little game, as well. This will allow you to play ANY of the 600 characters and creatures I'm a variety of settings! This game is about to explode into a game that will play like Warhammer Quest, or Warhammer Fantasy/ 40K!
Yeah, I am insane! Been planning this for about a year, and it is going to work pretty well, according to the play testing.
