Silhouette refuses to replace my Cameo even under warranty. They insist that the Cameo is not malfunctioning. I recommend getting a 3rd party warranty like Square Trade if deciding to purchase one. ( I wish I had At least after a year they will replace it with no problems. I just thought this might help someone.

What is happening? I thought mine was busted and all I needed was a new carrier sheet.

Can a dirty cutting mat (carrier sheet?) cause unpredictable and randomly way off cuts? If the adhesive isn't working, it definitely can cause the paper to slip. It is easy to clean and recondition your carrier sheet: Step 1: You need to remove the adhesive and junk currently on the surface. I use: ... along with soap and water. Clean and dry completely before proceeding. Step 2: Lightly apply a repositionable adhesive to the area covered by paper when in use. I use: Step 3: Place a piece of scrap paper on the carrier sheet firmly, then remove, to absorb any excessive adhesive. I often repeat this with the opposite side of the same sheet to make the carrier sheet less sticky. The Easy-Tack will lose it's stickiness over time (dozens of pages cut). I will repeat steps 2 & 3 above probably 10 times before having to go back to cleaning everything off the sheet (step 1) again. If one side of your carrier sheet gets too cut up to use (or the edges start to curl), you can clean it off completely one last time, then apply the Easy-Tack to the REVERSE side of the sheet and start using that! Hope that helps, OldSchoolDM

I often scrub my cutting mat with warm water and dish detergent, and then I let it air dry. Also, don't have your blade depth too deep - I had bought a new blade and set it deep enough to cut into the cutting mat, and it was wreaking havoc on its ability to cut.

Ok I finally tried a BRAND NEW cutting mat...no difference...still cuts are way off. But when I use the other side of the mat (inverted) it cuts accurately (well mostly). I dont understand They (Silhouette America) said I can send it in (I have to pay shipping, cheapskates!)

Could you upload a video? I'd really like to see what's happening... (even if you return it...)

Does it make any unfortunate sounds during the cutting? I mean more than the unfortunately loud but otherwise normal cutting sound?

I have some suspicions about paper alignment on the carrier sheet... I'd need to see the video.
But, If you have something that works, great!

Are you using US Letter or A4? What are your print settings in both adobe and your actual printer. I had an Epson that would print accurately for the length but the width would be 3mm off.
