The theme for this months HOARD is ? ? ? ? This can be any sort of miniature on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your figures, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of April, 2014.

Fools, spoofs and practical jokes could make for a very interesting hoard. Anything 'tongue in cheek'

My husband's suggestion for a name for April's Hoard: "Ship Of Fools"?

In tarot, the Fool is a character who doesn't know the perils in his upcoming journey. So he fits with the "?" theme and, he also fits with the "fools" theme. 2mm in front borders, 3mm in back borders? Is it right? Here is my candidate (under CC3 license): UPDATE: Fixed, dog's paw

The white rose symbolizes his innocence. The dog may symbolize the animated matter, animus, life itself, celebration of the journey. The dog can also represents a guardian who is warning about a possible misstep, the dog means the pragmatical view from "the material world" that the fool is despising. The whole card is about curiosity, search, risk and beginnings. The previous image was in png. Here it is in bitmap (Which is one prefered?):

Love it lvmenes! Although I notice the colours - like on most of your figures - are quite 'washed out'. Is that a stylistic choice of yours?

I almost never use a "plain yellow" or "plain red". Although, if people ask for I can recolor this mini in a more vivid style. Update (here is a vivid version, for people compare and comment):

The dog, in the back version should be in back. Will fix it.
Update: the PNG versions were fixed

I like both versions, the pale and the bright. the pale has a more medieval feel to him while the bright looks he'd be at home in the sixties 'hippy movement'. Both are great! Thank you, @ivmenes.

Oh i love that Tarot inspired Fool. I find myself liking the more brightly coloured version, but that might be more to do with my failing eyesight than anything else.

I still have to make some walking question marks to use as "possible enemy forces" in Chain Reaction etc.
