I was wondering if anyone has the pdf's for this? The DropBox links om Tumblr all seem to be broken, sadly. ETA: It seems to be Beginner’s Guide, Alternate Basing and Alternate Posts only, that are missing. But if anyone has those, I'd be grateful.

Thanks, but I meant the guides. Sorry about the confusion!

I have them. drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B-cFJ1IGNqjJQi1ubVZ0bU43bTAYou will find those guides in the "Originals" folder. It has everything I could find from here and tumblr. The "AndraX2000 Mods" folder contains work I was doing on the 6x6 tile (no holes) to make cut files. It's likely that I'll make more custom terrain once my game starts up again in January, and any additional modifications or cut files I make will end up in that folder. Cheers!

Hi, I am now experimenting with the Open Ground templates. Just as many other testers, I came up with another copyright question.
I am considering to change the height of the wall to 3 inches when I try multi-level construction, so that my Citadel models with heroic poses would not stick their swords into the roof. Is it OK for me to share the altered template with/without textures on the Internet, of course with authorship mention and link to Open Ground website?

You can share the altered template with credit and link to the Open Ground website. As for the textures, if you made them from scratch, you can share them under any license you wish. If you did not make them, you'll have to consult the person who did.

I have been working with my idea of making some sci-fi buildings out of Open Ground template. Here is my first vanilla trial build. I build this to test if my idea about holding corner posts without tabs nor holes in place works. And it seems to work. I do not like the original "hole" solution, because it leaves corners of bases vulnerable to crash. (And I felt it painful to copy and paste textures to tabs or hole covers.) I do not like to use neodymium magnets, because I would like to let my little one to play with the terrain and I heard a lot about terrible accidents with tiny strong magnets. My idea was to make slits on the bottom of two inner sides of the posts. The friction between base and post is not enough to hold it in place, but when every corner is connected with walls, it holds very well in place. I will proceed with this project. My latest concern is copyright issues with World Works Games. When I work on the walls I find it easier to build and sturdier if I fold a wall the bottom and fold a triangular tube "beam" onto the inner wall, just as they did with TerrainLinX template. (It is also easier to design working door(s) sliding inside a wall) However, it would make my templates pretty similar to TLX template and Googling result about "cease and desist" request from WWG makes me worry. One simple option is keep "bottom-fold" templates to my own use and distribute "top-and-side-fold" templates here or there.
