This guy's Tumblr page is relatively new - certainly a new one to me. Created with A-frame in mind and mirrored fronts and backs, but I like the cartoon/anime style of them. printableheroes.tumblr.com/

dungeonmistress - and there are a couple of gnomes and a halfling amongst those already up. Useful in your search for "little people" perhaps?

I really love these figures. Everything is gorgeous. drawings, colors, poses ... The overall quality is so high that far exceeds the average quality of a commercial product ( Ok, here in this forum, the quality is always very high, even for commercial products ). Sadly, for me, these figures don't have a back artwork. But this is an artist's choice. And he generously shares his works for free. So no complaints. For some reason that I can't figure out ( probably because of the author's artistic hand, a very great hand imho ) these figures remind me very much the "Cardhunter" figures ( I really like these too ). neoncat.x10.mx/fun/figures-spread.htmlneoncat.x10.mx/fun/figures-spread-all.html

I can see what you mean Rhannon - the style is very similar isn't it? I love the cardhunter pieces too, thanks for pointing us in the direction of those galleries......

Thank you so much for the links to the Cardhunter figures, they are marvellous and a great resource to have. Who knows when a particular class of character might be needed in a hurry and being able to print off a suitable Cardhunter mini just might save the day

A fairly basic beginning with starting to mod some of the Cardhunter figures. I need some Clerics and Paladins and I thought I'd see what I could do using these figures as a place to push off from.

Finally got round to making up some of these figures. After a bit of experimentation I settled on printing them at 150% which seems to scale them quite nicely with okumarts' Darkfast Dungeon range. First off, three bugbears. Slightly different in style to David Okum's - plus I think I printed his on the best setting on my printer, while the PH only got "standard".... - but measure up nicely I think. I also made up three of his "Heroes of Oz" set. Don't really think the blue edging on "Toto the Water Dog" really worked - the only blue marker I had and I think it is too dark for the effect I was after. EDIT - again shown with one of David Okum's adventuring types for comparison. Yes they have mirrored backs - but I guess that mean I can turn them around and introduce my players to left-handed bugbears!!

Hmm. Looks like this stuff is mirror-backed only. Looks nice, but I'm picky about having backs. Posted an AMA on the tumblr asking about backs, but no reply (and there's been a post since my AMA.) If backs were on, I'd be a backer. They look great so far.

There was a time I would have jumped in and done a bunch of these backs, but I'm going to be busy until September and I'm not really feeling inspired right now. It is good to know this site is out there.

You cut out so many places that I would leave black. You are a true craftsman.

You cut out so many places that I would leave black. You are a true craftsman. Not so much a craftsman as obsessive compulsive!! And with these I either cut them out of have to colour them in black (as they are on white background). I am much better doing fine work with an x-acto knife than I am a sharpie!!!!!

If you decide to use GIMP for setting up pages and scaling things, you can use that opportunity to quickly add a thick black border around the figures too!

I did download GIMP in the past mproteau (Paper Realms) but as I have no previous experience with Photoshop or anything similar I was totally working in the dark. Ended up getting frustrated and uninstalling it. Need someone to talk me through it and give me the "idiot's guide"...

Not so much a craftsman as obsessive compulsive!! I am reasonably convinced that they are much the same thing. Oops, I deleted some code I should have kept. Only the first line of this post is actually a quote.

Usually I prefer paper minis with front and back art. This is now common knowledge. But I think that if a perfect miniature paper didn't include a rear art these would be perfect. design and color are great in this case. Really great. No ifs and buts. These sets are free and so I think that there are dozens of downloads. But then I see his patreon page. It is almost deserted today, and it was completely deserted three days ago. When speaking enthusiasts are a lot but then ... not even a single buck ( if only for a few months ) will be invested to support, help, say thanks ... This is not a purchase but I'm pretty sure that if most of these sets were sold many who now read would buy any of them ... So I sometimes do not know whether to be puzzled or even just a bit sad for my passion. And for now I'm a little ashamed if I have to continue the discussion about the back art. .. And yet these are very beautiful paper minis. PS: this is a new free download.

Only four patrons for now ... ... but: ... For the black borders, which would be more useful, a thick black border or a full black background?
A for back views... yeah, they're inevitable I just need to actually dedicate the time to creating them - it'll happen, just not sure how soon :/
I really appreciate the feedback, please feel free to let me know if you have any other suggestions or comments ...

A couple more sets that I put together... Dark elf female sorceror and make fighter with sword ( link). These were really small so I ended up printing them off at 180%. Seen alongside a couple of okumarts' set for comparison. And his set of Azer (Azers? Azeri?)

Have to admit I am not a fan of the lance that the female fighter is holding. But I love the others.

Sorry guys, a question for the staff. No criticism, no complaints, no questioning about decisions. Only a question.
Why some posts have disappeared from this topic?
