Ah now it makes perfect sense!!!! Didn't realise the bandana was covering his face. The little bit of definition of the nose, and shading for the eyes makes that much clearer....

Thanks! i'm glad it's reading better. I wasn't sure I was explaining myself clearly enough so I drew up this diagram to explain the pose a little better... i may be on summer break but school habits never go away lol

I still like it. Honestly, arm's distance rule applies. This guy on the table, at arm's length, there should be no problem at all. One can get caught up in details that no one will see...

I had it in my head that his head was tilted forward and he was looking at the ground. Having had the bandana on the face explained to me the original fig looks fine too..... It's like one of those optical illusion thingies - is it Marilym or Einstein..... That's my excuse and I am sticking to it!!!!! Loving the afro-samurai/ninja look too! Is the katana being seen from behind/edge-on, I take it?

Thanks! glad you got the reference, though he's got the sheriff's star instead of the #2 on his headband lol. that is the correct angle on the sword, kind of a tough one to get across... does it read ok?

At first the sword kinda looked like a metal rod - then I realised it was meant to be edge on. I think it might help if you crisped up the dges of it somewhat - they are a bit wavy in spots.....

Straightened up the blade edges a little bit, i should maybe start using a straight edge when i draw things like blades...

I attempted a female character today..... girls are hard. Except for the weirdness of her left arm, I think she looks great. While she's clearly a woman, she's not oversexualized, and looks easily ready to take care of herself. Women shouldn't be any harder to draw - was it how to handle her hair that was difficult?

WackyAnneThe hair threw me off a bit ( i haven't had any for a long time, so i don't have a frame of reference ) the other issue may not have to be that it was a female character, but the pose, which I may be projecting because it happened to be my first lady... and you pointed it out, the perspective on the arm, which I'm quite certain I didn't get right in any way shape or form. speaking of drawing and perspective issues, I finished another guy as well... got him all colored and shaded when I noticed my huge mistake and his fatal flaw.... back-hand bart was teased mercilessly in grammar school

Wow, another great gunslinger; I might have to talk my gang back into Deadlands. Part of the problem of the left arm is if it is properly foreshortened it will be different sizes in the front and rear view. You'd be better off putting her arm straight out to the side. That would require squaring her shoulders up a bit, but it would be easier in the long run.
I like the crazy pose on the western swordsman. All the guys I game with are fencers and it drives us crazy to see figs in poses that would get you killed, but he is so obviously in a huge hurry you can get away with it. The newest swordsman also has a nifty pose. The head seems a little small. Also his right hand in the front view. You really are producing good figures at an incredible pace!

I agree with cowboyleland, good stuff and your making them at quite a clip. I like the dynamic poses too, keep it up! You should definitely think about contributing something to the Horde! sometime.

Have to agree with cowboyleland about the head and the hand on the most recent swordsman being on the small side - noticeably so. I didn't say anything initially after embarrassing myself so much due to my inability to recognise a chin in your earlier ginslinger!!! LOL!

sirhelnor, would you be willing to do a custom one? I've got a character I would love to have a mini for, but I've never seen a female detective with a sword (its an urban fantasy/multiverse game). Any chances you would be interested?

cowboyleland migibbthanks for the feedback, I made a couple changes to the minis you suggested... made the head and hand bigger by about 10% and stretched out the gunslinger's arm so it isn't being forshortened. looks much better zygrott24Thank you! I'm hoping to work my way there, i feel like i need a bit more practice getting things to line up before I can start submitting things alongside the pros I've got two more drawn up another samurai and this guy he's a bit of an odd duck... i have this idea for an overarching villain/monster that is a pupet master archetype, that uses marionettes, civilian prisoners, and zombies as minions, stringing them up and controlling them. this was an attempt at a wooden puppet sirhelnor, would you be willing to do a custom one? I think the puppet would probably work better if it wasn;t dressed...? Then you could show all the separate bits that link together... I realise in your game they probablty are dressed though.
I was very confused when I first saw it - my first thought was "why is that womble wearing a bowler hat....?" lol!!

Suriya Kellsdotter, Sergeant, RCMP. Physically, she is based on Sonal Chauhan, a Bollywood actress - she is half Indian/half Norwegian (but very short - like 5'3"). Her long black hair she typically ties back into a pony-tail or a braid. She dresses in jeans & t-shirt or tank top - think like Olivia from Law & Order:SVU, but she uses a sword as well as magic, with a revolver for back-up. Her sword is a salawar, about 28" long and dark coloured. She usually wears her badge either on her belt or on a lanyard around her neck.

i was thinking about trying to do some sort of spell in her other hand, but the description seems to say that magic and the gun are both secondary measures...

that is awesome. Just a couple of minor tweaks - can you make her braid a bit shorter (its about 1 ft long at most) and her skin is just a tiny bit lighter (the tone used on the back looks about right, but the front is a shade too dark). Otherwise, completely amazing! EDIT: tiny other thing - her holster has no gun in it . She usually wears a shoulder holster, but the hip holster looks very cool on her in this. EDIT2: I should wait to post, and re-read so that I don't keep editing. Anyways, yes, her magic is definitely secondary - its more utility stuff than for combat.

Okay, now it is my turn to Parduzize. The braid starts closer to her ear than the middle of the back of her head. Not sure how important it is to indicate the magic portion of her repertoire, but her left arm could be extended and hand pointed upward, as if she is about to unleash a magic blast (think iron man pose or spiderman getting ready to shoot a web). Maybe?
